Sources of vitamin E - tokoferol.
Vitamin E (& babies): some babies who are born full-term may not have enough vitamin E. ; often breast milk of preterm mothers is higher in this nutrient, but sometimes your baby might need more to stay healthy.
any supplements should be prescribed in exact amounts by your doctor because too much vitamin E could be bad for your baby.
Vitamin E brings benefits to our body and skin. It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, helps our cells regenerate and more!
A new study from Hamadan University of Medical Sciences in Iran (a country where a lot of research is conducted on natural remedies for menstrual-related problems, interestingly enough) has found two vitamins have the power to cut your discomfort dramatically: vitamin E and vitamin B6. In their study, two groups of women with high breast pain took either 200 IU of vitamin E or 40 mg. of vitamin B6 daily for two months. Within one month, the women in both vitamin groups experienced a reduction in pain by about half. By the end of the second month, their pain was reduced by about two-thirds. Not too shabby, right?
sounds nice but if you read the article and in particular the discussion, this has been done before and it didn’t quite work. in various dosages (like 6x their proposed does of vit E wasn’t working). still, something to try. because otherwise what you get is “over-the-counter painkillers and counseling”. counseling is when they tell you it’s not cancerous which is an important first thing to hear but for the rest, you’re totally on your own, and no, cyclical breast pain is not a good place to be. we’ll see. there is also a study about soy protein, equally inconclusive. no but how did these guys even get soy milk with 17g soy protein/200 ml, when soy milk contains 3.3 g protein/100 g. and if they just added soy protein, wouldn’t it have changed the texture of the drink, effectively killing the double blindness??
Only pulled two hairs today! I bought some silly putty to occupy my hands when I feel the compulsion to pull, I also picked up some vitamin e ointment and rubbed it on my usual patch on the top of my head. Vitamin e is supposed to help hair growth, and just the action of rubbing it into my scalp was soothing.
Review: The Body Shop Vit E line
I've been using this product for almost 4 years and I think I wasted few bucks on some of its product (like eye cream). Here we go...
1 & 2. Toner- my skin feel presssshhhhh (fresh) everytime I apply it. It soothes my skin well (sorry no pix of my skin. But it does sooth)
3. Cream cleanser- just like the normal facial cleanser. My friend recommended this to me since her sister's skin brightens after she used this cleanser. It does work on me.
4. Moisturizer- I don't know why it doesn't work on my skin. So I skip moisturizer.
5. Night cream- It makes my skin oily ㅡ.ㅡ so no, no for me.
6. Mini pack of night cream.
7. Lol sorry this is not from the Vit E line, it's an unperfumed eye gel. Let me tell you it does not reduce my eye bags. Hm.
