“Ah, ‘scuse me ma’am” You look at the tealblood, who may be a little embarrassed, but no worse for wear otherwise. She motions for you to lean down and a surprisingly gentle pull brings your mouths together (It WAS a delicate touch for someone as buff as her, you notice). 

She pulls away first and murmurs an apology, saying something about mistletoe as she heads back into the crowd.

You knew hanging that stuff up was a good idea.

panic for vatrra and vittez!

Vatrra gets insanely tense, if she can work then she will, but otherwise she paces, makes ridiculous plans just in case, depending on how bad/what’s making her panic she’ll pull her hair, chew on her lip, or tap at her hand tattoos. She gets snappier and things are “black and white, life and death” and not knowing something is unacceptable. If it’s life-threatening then she’s moving at a mile a minute and completely ignoring any injuries/obstacles in her way and can get shrill if she has to speak.

Vittez paces, combs his hands through his hair, he slouches and has nothing against grabbing people, or manhandling them if he thinks it’s safer. If the panic is because someone is in danger/very hurt, he’ll forget his own strength and bulldoze through whatever/whoever is in his way. He’s less careful about being delicate and if he grabs you to get you the fuck out of there, you’ll probably bruise where he grabbed you. If he can, he’ll break glassware also. It just HELPS, OKAY?

Gwozdhjem  and surrounding areas

(Red dots are villages, only three have names.)

This is the region that Vatrra, Vittez, Vulcan, Autarc, Anndus, and Minera all come from.

Gwozdhjem

The largest village in the western area of the ????? Mountains

Geography and Surroundings: 

Gwozdhjem is a very northern village. It's located in densely-forested mountains, which are dotted with similar scarcely-populated villages. These villages are about an hour to four hours away by horseback. The area is usually difficult to access, as it's pretty inland and the rivers in the area aren't suitable to sail in so it's pretty isolated. However, one of the smaller towns about an hour and a half outside of Gwozdhjem has finally got a single transportalizer installed, this makes getting to the area easier, but still a chore and not worth it unless you have business up there. 

There isn't a large problem with daywalkers, but they're common enough in the area to make residents familiar with the proper disposal and handling methods. Oftentimes it’s too cold for them to be much more than an annoyance.

The winters are long, and snowstorms are common. The summer months get shockingly hot though. Gwozdhjem is in an area lucky enough to have a good enough climate to farm in, though there is also an abundance of wildlife to hunt. 

The nearest brooding cavern is far north, and there’s a near-impossible mountain range to the east that separates the entire area from the outskirts of the Winterlands. The two regions have similarities in language and culture, but have not been able to easily interact for hundreds of sweeps. It’s likely that there were ancient practices and values that got brought over from the Winterlands when trolls migrated to the west.

Demographic: 

The town may be the largest in the area, and a sort of hub for commerce, but it's still very small. There aren't more than 500 people, and the other villages around are lucky to have around 250 residents. With the exception of Autarc, Anndus, Minera, and two or three midbloods  who help watch over the outlying villages, the entire area is filled with lowbloods. The highest blood color of any resident is yellow, and even those have low numbers compared to the amount of rusts.

There’s a huge agricultural community, as well as specialized laborers such as blacksmiths and carpenters. Almost everything they need can be made in the area, or traded for with ease.

Residents will typically crowd, gawk, and try to be on their best behavior when "highbloods" (olivebloods and up) are around, and many of the trolls here haven't seen more than one or two highbloods in their lives.

Despite the high amount of lowbloods, the number of psychics is shockingly low, and most lowbloods will instead grow larger than the "average" lowblood to accommodate the amount of physical labor that is typically done. There are exceptions though, it's rare for a troll to be as large as Vulcan or Vittez, or as small as Vatrra. There are also a shockingly large amount of adult trolls.

Most of the trolls here speak Standard as their second language, only learning it because of it's usefulness in trade and because Autarc highly encourages it. The primary language spoken is a North-Western language that’s “very uncommon” in the modern world (just the old lowblooded dialect that’s used is considered uncommon, there’s a modern dialect that is more common but still unusual to find outside of the area).

Trivia:

90% of the buildings in the entire area are built by hand, not by construction drone.

There is electricity and some modern appliances, but neither are heavily relied on.

Despite the population being mostly fluent in two languages, 80-90% of the population cannot read or write, forgoing schoolfeeding in favor of apprenticeships and laboring.

There is a branch of the military that exists and runs, they’re Knighterrors, and though they play by some old-school rules, they are still listed in the imperial fleet as soldiers.

The only transportalizer in the area is in Nordgóra, and that’s most likely because it’s the easiest area to establish one for people trying to go past the eastern mountains. It’s still pretty ignored.

Gwozdhjem, Nordgóra, and Sydgóra are the only villages in the area with actual names. The other ones don’t have names in Standard, and aren’t named on any maps. In North-Western, they’’re referred to by their location relative to Gwozdhjem and their size and that’s sort of their name

While it is not taboo to leave town or move in from elsewhere, it’s unusual to see new faces and even more unusual to leave. Most of the residents are content to stay in their community and don’t see the appeal of travel.

Gross. Honestly just gross. Widsth singing songs about Tooz, and Tooz absolutely eating that shit up. They flirt in public and sing together. When one/both of them gets sick of the relationship they might just end up friends with benefits. Vittez wouldn’t really see Widsth as a ‘forever’ matesprit anyways because he’s a highblood! Tooz just aint gonna live that long and he knows it! They stay amicable and neither one holds any lingering feelings. Plus then they’re DOUBLE-gross and would totes be wingmen for each other.

Completely ineffective? Neither one really gets into ~emotionally deep~ talks and neither one really needs protecting. Vittez may send Widsth travel supplies and wish him luck on the road. Widsth may boost Vittez’s confidence and show his drafts to him. It’s certainly a happy relationship, but if they have Problems are they really gonna work it out? Maybe?

How could this one even happen tbh?? Vittez isn’t invested enough in music to ribal Widsth, and Widsth doesn’t compete in sports like Vittez does. Plus they’re both sorta hard to piss off. Any pitch-flirting would probably end up in them getting super hype and becoming friends. “Yeah I bet you don’t even know what a mandolin IS-woah shit that is a beautiful instrument, where did you GET that?” “Haha yeah you’re too scrawny to ever joust-woah but you can belt out songs like nobody’s business duuuude you have got PIPES”
