Dear Steve Carlsberg: Here's my letter from someone you hardly knew. I'm sorry for all the hell people tended to give you, you deserved none of it. You were such a kind person, I don't remember much of what happened to you but I hope it was good. If you remember a little punk flannel-clad 19 year old who always had headphones on, even in the supermarket, I remember you too. I wasn't the easiest to get along with, but you tried. My friends and I finally finished "Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door."

I have 2 different kins I mentioned back in January. Jolene and Vivian.

Now that I have finished I know my canons.

My Jolene canon, was one where as it shows in-game: it wasn't real, it was all a play. I was literally just an actor Mario was an actor playing himself. The entire story was just that, a story. We all went off to our normal lives after rehearsals and the play itself.

Now then, the Vivian canon, that was a real adventure. And oh goodness... I am canon divergent after the point of defeating the Shadow Queen, or rather... my mom in a sense.

When Princess Peach did give us the last of her energy, she literally gave us the last of her energy, she died. The Mushroom Kingdom didn't have a princess anymore. TEC, Grodus, and Crump all were dead too unlike what the ending cutscene said/showed.

No, I didn't go back to live with my transphobic, rude sisters like the ending cutscene showed. I helped Mario go back to the Mushroom Kingdom with Princess Peach's body to give her a burial and help Mario mourn. A year or two later Mario and I started dating.

Everything else with what happened with everyone else, that happened.

I DO kin Vivian. My expectations were correct. It only took her joining the party when I realized.

Okay. Cool. 2 people from Paper Mario. I think I might have more memories as Vivian, but we'll see. If my friend group continues with the half a chapter on average once a week we'll be finished in 8 weeks. So, we'll see then.

im really loving the "[insert mario character]-ette trend here, but.. i saw a vivianette art the other day (which was really cute btw!) and seeing myself with a peach-like visage is really not sitting well.. i was the same race as the queen, could i have possessed the princess too? i dont even like thinking about it.. i feel sick.. -vivian
