The other day I wandered the streets with you,

the glitz and glamour of the city life sparkling,

awaiting;

it reminded me of a life I once lived,

far away from this place a thousand miles

across the ocean, where the only thing that matters

is that I have met you;

I have lived and breathed the life beyond

what is home?

It is where love is,

where I grew up, it is

where you are

and where I am is neither here not there

where I am shadows fleeting but mostly whole

and blanketed, shielded

in love
