Hiya, Don't know if you're still active, but i have stumbled upon the brilliance of Aqualight, and i need Relationship HC's. Please. Basically how would you write their love story and their relatonship
we shall have a spring wedding-
I am very much active, and I'm still a fan of DC I just also do Star Wars a lot atm. Ive written one completed fic, and two half-finished fics for Kaldur and Kiran, aka Aqualight. They are on my ancient wattpad if you'd like to read them, or if you're magically patient I may transfer one of them to ao3
Young Justice: Solstice
Young Justice: Brightest Day (Sequel to Solstice, unfinished, based on Season Three of Young Justice)
Eclipso (AU where Kiran goes undercover as Klarion's apprentice and helps Kaldur during the Invasion)
You know that "ON PURPOSE. ON PURPOSE I AM GOING TO CARE ABOUT YOU" post? That's them.
Their relationship is built on mutual respect. Kiran first learns about Kaldur through Artemis, Raquel, and Zatanna, shortly after the Invasion, so they're singing his praises about his bravery and sacrifice. Similarly, they're talking about Kiran's earnest enthusiasm and curiosity where Kaldur can hear, so before they're formally introduced to each other they have a decent amount of respect for each other.
Kiran is literal sunshine incarnate, and her personality mirrors that. She is here for exactly none of Kaldur's self-sacrificing self-depreciating, so the moment he starts she shuts that down quick.
Kaldur's left standing there speechless like "Am I attracted to this???" bc no one has told him that he is indeed worth the air he breathes so vehemently.
(everyone he loves has always tried the handling him gently approach bc he's been through so much that they're afraid he'll run or break down if they start yelling at him)
After she's stormed off Kiran is literally hiding in a corner with her poncho pulled over her head like "Oh my gosh what have I done he's supposed to be my leader how am I ever going to show my face in training ever again" and Artemis has to drag her out of bed next time they're called for a mission.
They both try to just pretend that whole exchange just...didn't happen and its awkward and everyone on the team can feel it.
Kal is writing up his reports afterwards but bby is dyslexic in English bc Atlantean is his first language and yeah the League's computer could translate but he's too polite to put anyone through reading the translation errors.
Kiran, however, is physically pained by all the squiggly red lines and how slow he types so she shoves her chai into his hands and takes the computer from him.
By the time she's done, Kal has drunk half her tea and has fallen asleep on her shoulder and Kiran knows if she wakes him up no less than three of their team members will leap out of nowhere and scold her.
It's like when a cat falls asleep on your lap. The laws of the universe forbid you from disturbing them.
And the rest is history
They are both dog people. Kiran has a corgi and Kaldur has a chocolate lab that doubles as an emotional support dog.
Kiran is the author, Kaldur is the artist. Kiran's mind is bursting with all the stories and mythologies her parents told her growing up and she has to share them, writing them or telling them. Kaldur is the only one who has bene able to match her passion by illustrating these stories exactly as Kiran imagines them.
Kiran says that Kal's only fault is that he prefers english tea to chai. Kaldur claims that the amount of sugar Kiran puts in her chai would put him in a coma.
Kiran was a terrible swimmer. Still kind of is. She just fakes swimming by using her powers to "fly" underwater. Swimming lessons made up the bulk of their first couple of dates (trust exercises, plenty of excuses to hold each other close, you get the picture....😏😏😏😏)
Kaldur's parents ADORE Kiran. Sha'lain'a keeps asking when the wedding is.
Kiran's parents are a little more reserved bc Kiran is dating outside their culture. They always envisioned her marrying the perfect Hindu doctor/lawyer but Kaldur makes her happy, so they're happy for her.
Kaldur's wardrobe has the bare essentials, he's not one for flashy things, but Kiran will take every invitation to any kind of museum or gallery event as an excuse to take Kaldur shopping and get all dolled up. It's not his favorite thing, but Kaldur really does start to enjoy the boost of confidence he gets from his girlfriend squealing about how handsome and elegant he looks. Kiran has hundreds of pictures of Kaldur in store dressing rooms wearing all the different outfits she picks for him.
Kiran's lockscreen is a picture of Kaldur asleep on the couch with the dogs. He is in her phone as "Little Merman"
Kaldur's lockscreen is a selfie of the two of them on a sailboat cruising around Happy Harbor. He took the picture, and they're both wearing ginormous shades while Kiran holds onto her hat to keep it from flying away in the wind. She's just in his phone as "💛Kiran💛" bc he doesn't have the same way with words.
They work out together by dancing to Bollywood music.
Kiran calls him "Meri Jaan", Kaldur calls her "My Light".
I could go on but then we'd be here forever. Thank you for this ask. bless up my friend, may your garden always bloom and may your pillow always be cool. 💛
Having dreams of your soulmate before you’ve even met them OR One person aggressively not believing in soulmates, until their soulmate proves them wrong with Kiran and Kaldur(can’t tell which one fits them best 😂) gracias
Stormy green eyes pierce her soul the moment before she jolts awake. She knew that people began to dream about their soulmates the night that they turned eighteen, but she didn’t expect them to be so vivid.
Her parents grill her about it the next morning, but the only thought she can really articulate is “It’s better than dreaming about Kamala.”
She doesn’t dream about them for another week. It starts out like her usual nightmare, but this time, before the plane crashes, the snow from the mountains seems to come alive, directing the plane to safety.
She wakes up in the middle of the night to find it was all a dream, and lies awake all night, thinking about what it could mean.
It isn’t for six months that they finally see each other.
“What’s your name?” She shouts it, but it comes out a whisper. She can’t hear his answer. She tries to memorize what he looks like instead, but when she wakes up she can’t remember anything about the dream.
“Dreams suck.” She tells Cassie as they enter the last month of school.
Cassie disagrees. Of course she gets a good soulmate dream. “We were flying across the rooftops in like this gothic-steampunk-esque town, like literally! And he comes out of the smoke all tall and muscular, with his cape blowing dramatically in the wind-”
Cassie won’t listen either.
Kiran’s dream that night starts like her nightmares do. She’s shivering on a snow-covered mountaintop, about to be overcome by shadows, when the snow rises up again, driving the shadows away.
And suddenly someone is sitting next to her.
“Is this your nightmare?” He asks, his voice fading in and out.
Kiran nods, afraid that her voice will fail her again.
“What happened?”
She thinks it more than explains it. This is her dream, it doesn’t take much to get the point across.
“I am sorry that you lost your sister.”
“Thank you.” The longer they’re in the dream,l the easier it is to talk.
They sit in silence for a while, sitting on the side of the mountain as they watch the snow fall into the valley bellow.
“Would you mind if I changed this dream?” He asks, holding out.
Kiran hesitates, “Can you do that?”
He shrugs. “We are both dreaming this, are we not? My mother always told me dreams are what you make them.”
The moment her hand slips into his, the mountain disappears from around them, and they’re floating underwater. But she can breathe.
She laughs, and her soulmate smiles.
“It’s beautiful.” She whispers, not noticing that her soulmate is staring at her as the water around them begins to glow.
Request: 11 when one stops the kiss to whisper “I’m sorry, are you sure you-” and they answer by kissing them more 12 a hoarse whisper “kiss me” (Kiran and Kaldur) Requested by @lizartgurl
A/N I tried my best hope you like it sorry it’s so short
It had been a close call, perhaps too close. Everyone managed to get out but everyone also had their own fair share of broken bones and bloody wounds.
“Are you okay?” Kaldur asked as he finished wrapping up her wrist. Kiran simply looked at him still in a bit of a daze.
They had been in worst battles yet this one felt as if it was the one. The one where she felt she would have lost everything, where she would have lost him. With out thinking she leaned in and kissed him, passionately, desperately, as if it would be the only time she’d be able to do it. Then she realized what she was doing. Pulling away abruptly she began to apologize.
“I’m sorry, are you sure you-“
“Kiss me.” Kaldur mumbled horsily as he pulled her back.
They met each other in a another kiss, both of them never wanting to pull away.
Eyyy! I figured I could put this one up today. this is all I got so far on my “New Begginings” comic. Its pretty much a self indulgent comic , set in the future post war, in the tfa universe.~so waayyyy ahead of everything else I got.
I reached a point where I’ve paused so I can finish a chapter of another comic of mine, so heres all I have on it so far!
LIZZIE PLEASE WRITE "Being able to telepathically communicate with your soulmate" WITH AQUALIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“What’s up?”
Kaldur leaned back and closed his eyes. Long distance relationships weren’t as bad when you were soulmates.
“I think Wyynde has a crush on me.”
“Your old classmate?”
“And the king’s new adviser.”
“So what do you want to do about it?”
Kaldur licked his chapped lips, and stared up at the ceiling for a long time.
“I’m not certain.”
“Is this because of the things he did as a purist?”
“Not at all, I know that people can change and grow, just look at me.”
In her room in Delhi, India, all the way across the world, Kiran sighed as she slaved over her calculus homework.
“Kaldur, that was different, you were undercover.”
“I still had to do terrible things, Kiran. Can I really be mad at Wyynde for trying to grow past what Ocean Master brainwashed into him at such a young age?”
He was sitting up now, hugging his knees to his chest. He should be asleep, but he couldn’t stop thinking.
His bedroom at Will and Artemis’s place here in Star City was impeccably clean, the pressed sheets on his bed only slightly ruffled from his tense movements. Everything in it’s proper place. He wouldn’t even have the barest hint of color if Kiran wasn’t there to pick out the ocean bedspread and every vibrant article of clothing she saw to “spice up the place”. Of course, she was Indian. She loved spice. The only thing on his wall were two pictures: the team at the end of its first year, and a photo of himself with Kiran.
When he closed his eyes, he could see Kiran’s room, lit by the rising sun as she bent over the spindly wooden desk in the corner. Her room was smaller, about half the size of Kaldur’s in her parent’s townhouse, but the closet was bursting with every fabric design Kaldur could conjure. The sunrise illuminated the pale yellow walls, and the discarded shawls and sweaters hung across doors and chairs, and the covers were tossed aside in Kiran’s urgency to wake up, get her homework done, and find out what was bothering her soulmate.
“Wyynde’s purist past isn’t the only thing that’s bothering you, is it?” She asked slowly, the scratching of her pencil on the thin workbook paper slowed almost to a complete stop.
“No.” Kaldur admitted. He took a deep breath, and let it go.
