Olayinka Emerges Winner Of #MTVBaseVJSearch 2016 

 23yrs old Olayinka Olaniran has been announced winner of the #20million worth MTV Base Vj Search 2016.

Olayinka Oladiran who rose above other finalists Tomiwa Olorunfemi (23), Tochukwu Onwubiko (21) and 19 year-old twins, Grace and Glory Danbaki after competing with thousands of hopefuls in Lagos, Enugu and Abuja plus online and social media applicants.

Life's Uncertainties

Earlier today, before I stepped into the studio, I was feeling anxious because we were only told [during the last session] that what we’re going to do today will be a surprise. But then to our surprise, the session was cancelled. At 2pm we were dismissed.

There’s this VJ search going on right now in the studio, it started last week actually. I’ve been thinking of auditioning but then I thought I may not be “fit” for it. Things changed a bit today. I had a run of serious career talk with a good and supportive friend who’s also in the industry. He made me realise a lot of things that afternoon. For him there’s no room for excuses for not running after what you really want. I tried it today. Lol. It was a bit of an impulsive decision to audition in this VJ search. We were dismissed, we went down and the next thing I knew, I was filling up the application form for VJs— then the VTR. I only had myself that time— no requirements, no nothing. As of this writing, I still do not know the requirements. I was advised by some friends to just pass the requirements when it is “needed.” So, then, what an experience for me! I might say I messed up during the final question… so I know now. But then I am after the experience. It was fun and exciting— full of THRILL. It was my first ever VTR so now I know how VTRs work. Lol. It was fulfilling in my part. Though I was feeling so shy doing it, but after, I had this sudden boost of confidence. I did something again for the first time and I am alive! Haha!
