it's so funny. My husband has watched Emmerdale for years/decades and I have watched some of it by default. He very vaguely understands my fandom interests. I have never thought of Emmerdale as a fandom. Robron would blow his mind.

I'd have thought soaps, along with Star Trek, were the OG of fandoms!

But yeah, Robron would blow anyone's mind.

Helloooooo! Jumping in here to say I'm so glad you guys are back. I found you for Mary & George and it's great to hear you discuss with PASSION the amazing HR. I love your takes and discussions. Its the chat I would love to have face to face, but I'm alone irl with my MM and WLW stories. I sit on the train on the way to work and literally - actually - laugh out loud and smile like a nutter.

I love all the wee things you notice that I notice too. Here's to Ilya's lips, Shane's freckles, every authentic hand gesture and head tilt. And the undersung female characters who are still knocking it out the park...Yuna, Jackie, Svetlana and Rose, I see you. (I think Rose/Svetlana fic might be on the way!)

Hi, @vmcgmidlifecrisis! After our fun talking Mary & George, I was excited to see that you're watching Heated Rivalry, and it makes me unreasonably happy to know you're taking us on the train with you and laughing along with us. 😄

There are so many things to notice, right? The text is rich, and the fandom is doing god's work by giffing everything and going rabid with character analysis. Konner sent me a thing this morning someone posted about Ilya gently moving Shane's hand out of the way before he lifts him onto the counter.

I don't have much to say in response to "genetic" and Ilya's research because that is brand new information that I have to cry about for a little while before I can properly engage with you. How dare. How dare you embody the spirit of what inspired the podcast.

I'm looking for a fic where H and Ds relationship is not accepted by any of the Wesley's or Hermione. They bring up Teddy as their son together. Photo albums are really important near the end, and I think they send photos to their 'friends' to show what a good life they have. I think it covers quite a long span of time. They travel or perhaps live abroad because Britain won't accept them.

Do you have any disasters or bad nail events, or colours that you just hate?

Hey! 👋😁 As far as nail disasters go, the thing that comes to mind is this: putting a lot of time into a manicure, either a magnetic or some involved nail art, just to mess it up and have to start over. Even if it's just one nail that gets messed up, it can still take SO much time to redo it that I get frustrated, and mess up other nails cause I'm going too fast. When this happens I just have to quit for the day. Of course none of those manis ever get posted here. 😅

Ohh I thought of another one! I use peely base to make it easier to remove polishes if I'm changing manis frequently. The only downside is that peely base is water soluble. So if you get your hands wet for a long period of time, your polish can just completely pop off the nail in one big piece. One day I was making meatloaf for dinner and I had mixed everything together with my hands. When I finished, I looked down and realized on one nail the polish had popped off into the meatloaf. So I had to dig through it all to find it. Thankfully I caught it before I put the meatloaf in the oven. 😂😂😂

Colors I hate? Tan and white are probably the colors I wear the least, but I have tan and white polishes I really like. So it's less colors I hate and more colors I don't gravitate towards as much as others. As I'm sure you probably already know, I love extremely saturated, bold, sparkley, shifty polishes, so most of the time tan and white just don't do it for me.

You know what I love? Harry watching Draco dancing...ballroom, clubbing, anything really. And I'll bet at Hogwarts it was a Strip the Willow- ceilidh dances are learned by every Scottish pupil and its a sport!

Ahhh yes I adore to see it in fic, either Harry or Draco watching in awe as the other dances by himself without a care in the world. I’d love to see more of that in a Hogwarts setting like the one you’ve mentioned, the ceilidh dance idea sounds really fun!

I’m actually a sucker for Draco teaching Harry the traditional ways, like their waltzing scenes from Dwelling 🤌🏼 And don’t get me started on “coming out” clubbing fics where watching the other dance can be something so intimate, sensual and melancholy all at once. We’re lucky to have authors like Writcraft and birds who always deliver top notch clubbing aesthetics, one of my favourite Drarry tropes! 🪩
