Thanks to Wayne Baker, we have another astounding Voice It! video! You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/558jKoCWt9Q
Thank you to everyone who has supported this project, and a special shout-out to all the amazing, talented people submitting these beautiful recordings for the Voice It! perk. We love putting together these little videos and can't wait to share more!
My girlfriend asked me about a personal thing recently and I think she’s still worried cuz of the answer I gave her. She asked why I didn’t stand up to my parents about things and it made me think about every time they yelled at me as I grew up. I told her it was because I was afraid of the screaming.
That wasn’t the real answer. I don’t know how to stand up to them.
Ever since I can remember, my parents always told me to be quiet or spoke for me when I was little. And because of this, I never learned how to speak for myself or learn how to really defend myself without getting emotional and breaking down. Other times when I had the chance to speak up about something, I grew even quieter and tried not to bring attention to myself, thinking what I had to say wasn’t important or worth anyone’s time. I’m in my 20s now and still don’t know how to stand up for myself or say my opinion.
Please don’t allow your kids or kids you know to have this fear growing up. They need to learn how to speak up when needed and speak for themselves. I get walked in because of it and I don’t want my kids to be the same. Don’t tell kids to be quiet. Let them say what they want and ramble if they want. It’s good for them. Teach them that what they say does matter to something or someone. I want to smile when I see kids babbling on and on instead of being shushed. It’s an important developing factor for personality and I want to see it more. Please teach kids to speak about anything and everything without holding back

La historia de la grabación digital comienza hace décadas, pero tuvo que correr mucho tiempo para llevar aquella tecnología en un bolsillo.
