          the radio station felt like a foreign land to maddie... when she had first arrived, they had greeted her with an interpreter which was of little surprise to her --- in truth it was a bit of a relief. though, confessedly she did idly wonder how a radio station aimed to handle her story... would the interpreter speak for her to the audience? would it be something more like a podcast and be perhaps filmed? she was unsure, but alas she pressed forward, steeling herself with silent courage as they ushered her into the radio booth after what felt like forever, where the host awaited her. curious glances as she stepped over the threshold, then she offered said host a quiet smile and extended her hand while they introduced her to him.

              friendly  reminder  that  richie  was  the  first  person  to  tell  bill  that  it  wasn’t  his  fault  that  georgie  died.  he’s  the  first  one  !!  it  was  him !!  this  kid  has  gone  literal  months  just  overthinking  about  how  it’s  his  fault  his  little  brother  is  dead,  how  his  parents  hate  him  and  blame  him  too  for  it  and  all  it  took  was  richie  saying  “  you  didn’t  want  to  hurt  him,  you  just  wanted  the  kid  to  have  a  little  fun !! ”  and  bill  then  can’t  hold  it  back,  he  bawls  violently  in  front  of  richie,  feeling  a  sort  of  relief  come  over  him.  it’s  not  his   fault,  he  knows,  and  he  feels  it.  but  he  had  to  hear  it  from  someone  else.  

and  bill  is  constantly  exuding  this  strength.  i  think  most  of  the  kids  forget  he  too  is  a  kid  inside  and  he  has  an  incredible  amount  of  untapped  grief  and  sorrow,  blame  and  guilt  inside.  it  translates  to  anger  so  easily  because  that’s  SAFER  to  feel  than  the  fear  inside  his  own  heart.  it’s  easier  to  aim  the  pain  and  the  hurt  at  the  world  and  at  pennywise  because  if  not,  it  turns  back  in  on  himself  and  he  would  get  swallowed  whole  by  it.

          INTENSE HEAT   /   HUMIDITY LACED AIR , the dream world  ( his domain )  was a vast landscape of unknown certainty .  steam puffs in the distance , chains rattle , the drip-drip-drip of pipes .  the boiler room .  a haunted hellscape of steaming and vibrating pipes ,  urging to burst at any moment .  it’s a hostile environment ,  as if the walls were breathing ,  and eyes were watching ;  because they were .

          “  richie . . . !  “  a hissing voice among the environment .  was it even a voice ??  metal claws against the railing of the catwalk ;  predator watches prey from a distance with burning ,  red eyes .

          “ . . . richie !!  “  the voice beckoned the boy ,  this time closer ,  as the dream demon closes in on his target slowly ,  concealing himself within the very own shadows of tozier’s mind ;  the mind that the demon has latched onto ,  like a leech ,  a parasite ,  inhaling his thoughts  ----  his fears .  // @voicemade
