Crow Reader x Puppy Phainon Hybrid AU headcanons!
Content Warnings: None! This is just fluff mixed in with crack (in a way?) and just my own rambles. Also this is with a gender neutral reader kept in mind too! It’s just headcanons with silliness mixed into it since I’ve been wanting to get this done for a while. Keep in mind this is not proofread and pardon if there are any errors, I am still pretty new to writing (╥﹏╥).
𖤓It took WEEKS in order for Phainon to even get a chance to get you down from your usual tree branch. The only reason you did come down was because he began to offer up some of his treats on by the tree, and even then it was only when he was brought inside by his owner. (Don’t worry he’s looking at you from the window)
𖤓 Another reason as to why it took an egregious amount of time to warm up to him was because several crows around the area had warned you about a dog that looked scary and even chased them. Though as weeks passed by you came to realize that they mistook Phainon for being aggressive, instead he was just a very excited puppy who just happened to be very large.
𖤓 And then after a few months FINALLY, he gets to see you come down from the tree right in front of him. It nearly had him jumping for joy, but for the sake of not trying to scare you he only wagged his tail excitedly with a wide smile.
𖤓 Soon seeing you became a daily occurrence for him as he saw you seated comfortably upon your branch. Sometimes you would even mimick his barks, which had him startled for a moment as he thought there was another dog right beside him.
𖤓 But by far his favorite thing was whenever you would leave him little gifts as thanks for the food he offered. It would range from acorns to coins and even sometimes weird keychains or keys that were lost. The rarest thing he ever got from you was a silver ring that glimmered brightly under the light. All of your trinkets were kept in a box that his owner provided right beside his beds and blankets.
𖤓 Now you get to the point where you join him on his walks with his owner, hovering above them as they tread their neighborhood. You tell yourself that the only reason you do it is for safety reasons, by all means if Phainon got hurt then there would be no more food from him, that’s all (keep telling yourself that brah). Phainon on the other hand takes it as a blooming friendship from you and every time he catches a glimpse of you getting closer he has to remind himself to not get overly ecstatic lest you fly away again.
Bloopers cause why not!
Phainon’s owner: yo why is this bird looking at us like that what’s up bud you got a staring problem pal?
Phainon’s owner just looking from across the window to see their dog giving goo goo eyes to the same crow who keeps cawing outside their house at the ass crack of dawn.
