In a way they are alive and can feel, but there pilots both can and can not feel the same things because things like touch can't be felt by an organic if linked to a mechanical because the sensation of metal feeling something touch it isn't comprehended by human brains. But things like emotion can be felt by each other when linked, but Jazz doesn't realize they aren't his emotions because of how closely linked he is to his mech

Do you remember how antis would (and still do) hate Shiro x anyone except for maybe Allura, but turn around and ship Klance despite them being 17 and 18 respectively in the beginning, which is considered "bad" by them? I don't agree with the antis, but the double standards are crazy
