Could also be van Rijn or just Muse, I guess. Optional variant: Collective surname of van Rijn, but also Otilia got married and quickly widowed by someone with the surname von Pinn.
In modern AUs, RVR is their dad because. He's their creator and the closest thing they have to one in canon. They don't NEED a father figure in canon, but if they're human in the modern AU then they logistically need at least one parent in some way.
