it seems the latest vriska apologist fad is to portray her as being oppressed, marginalized by the system and going through hard times and like

yeah, it sucks that she has a lusus that forces her to kill or she will be killed herself BUT

this is really no different from the same problems literally every other highblood experiences, and that all trolls eventually have to deal with under Condy’s rule.

and she’s still a highblood. she is still fabulously rich, she still has absolute power over anyone below her blood caste which is literally everyone she knows besides the seadwellers, gamzee and Equius.

hell, the vast majority of the people she’s murdered, most likely not coincidentally, were low-to-midbloods.

to be clear on this, Vriska has a metric fuckton of privlege and power. Mindfang abused the fuck out of it, and Vriska was quite literally heading down the same route.

its weird, i never see the fact that mindfang is literally a rapist and who abuses trolls of warmer blood than her on a daily basis get brought up

or the fact that the Dolorosa’s fear, uncertainty and trauma in the psychic assault Mindfang did to her is explicitly part of the pleasure for Mindfang. she loved hurting her. she loves inflicting pain on people in her power.

or, most importantly, how this reflects on Vriska,, who idolizes Mindfang in ever way and knows every intimate detail she wrote down, and is exclusively in relationships with trolls with warmer blood (save Eridan)

because, to me, ‘rich person used to having power and getting their way and who idolzies a literal sexual abuser’ being in controlling relationships with people who are already in her power socially seems like a really bad combination.

This blog has been christened, not as a defense of Verdka Serbet,

But as a means to love her as a character even with her flaws. And boy are they big. I love Vrisk, her character design and the promise of "bitch pirate" for sure got me into homestuck. But I think it's important to love her even with her massive character flaws ( jk lads she did nothing wrong), and maybe chat about some headcanoms of how she FIXES HER SHIT!!

I really can’t believe that someone spent 100$ to start vriskcourse in the good year of 2018 anyways completely unrelated I’m starting a fundraiser to raise enough money to get a jumbotron that says “Vriska is a huge bitch” in magnus’ voice
