10. What's been your favourite interaction throughout your VtM experiences? Can be in game, playing video games.. anything. My favorite character interactions are always those moments of vulnerable realness when you're playing OP creatures of the night. When you're experiencing tenderness and really afraid. Like for example, in my Atlanta Chronicle, Khloe and Ralph were in the Nosferatu Warrens and Ralph stood up to the leadership because he was sick of them demanding he listen to them and respect their arbitrary in-clan codes. While they survived the encounter, they (well mostly he!) still were yelling in the face of a Kindred much more powerful than they. Who knows what could've happened! And when they survived and were kicked out, they got to hold each other and let out the overwhelming emotions together for a brief moment. Because that's what it's all about in the end.... despite the horrors you are not alone!

13. Do you have a comfort character? What makes them special to you? Khloe honestly is my comfort VTM OC. She's me mostly so it's nice to "be yourself" and still be liked in your favorite setting... haha!

19. Which character is least spoken about? Speak about them now! I never ever talk about Lyre my Salubri but that's mostly because she's a self indulgent sexy character and while I love her and Blaire's story it's not Tumbles-appropriate. <3 However cute and fun and ditzy and loves to give in (her big trouble flaw haha!) and it's fun to be!! She diablerized her sire through a consensual sex ritual, got kicked out of the death cult she had been ensnared in, got captured by Tremere and driven into the Colorado Rockies where their secret pyramid is, and was rescued by a Sliverfang werewolf! Who is now her boythang. :3

2. How and when did you get into VtM?

So I've played VtMB like, back in the day, and I've always been into vampire media. But actually getting into it in the grand year of 2020. The pandemic hit and our DnD DM invited my wife and I to a VtM play by post Discord server because he liked how we got into the roleplay with our characters. Now I am obsessed and can't escape it.

3. Which edition do you play/ prefer?

Might get a lil flak. I prefer to run and play v5. I think base mechanics like hunger are handled better in v5. I like the messy crit/Beastial failure mechanics because peope I've played with try to be too perfect or clean and ignore the aspect of the beast alot, and these mechanics bring that more to the forefront. "Do I want to do this and risk a crit/fail? What kind of consequences can happen if a crit/fail happen? Would this lead to having to act on my compulsion or possibly a frenzy?" And so on.

As far as what I consider when I write, I mix up v20 and v5 aspects with a hint of stuff from VtR I like. I keep the uniqueness of the clans and power scale of v20 with the ideas of hunger and the beast from v5. Also a lil mix of how thinbloods work.

4. What's your favourite clan? Why?

Thinbloods and Followers of Set!

Thinblood: I know they are not a Clan but they are always lumped together anyways so why not consider them that. BuT i love Thinblood alchemy and all the funky things you can do with it. When I played Nyth in a v5 game I had an ST that let me run wild with formulae and it was a blast.

Followers of Set: I love the idea of a Clan of Cults in the world of cultception. I like the idea of a clan having their own creation mythos that doesn't (atleast not in name or directly) involve Caine. (Also why I like Tremere, Nagaraja and the other self-made clans). I love the religious aspect and for some reason am just very drawn to being a cult leader in games. Also, serpentis it just a fucking rad discipline. I have a soft spot for power-up transformations and reptiles.

5. What's your least favourite clan? Why?

I don't hate any clan and can see the merits of all of them. But I think Brujah is my least favorite clan. Partly due to the people I've played with that played Brujah and were just the worst people to deal with and partly because i don't want to play a physical or combat focused character. I know you don't have to with Brujah but you're kind of ignoring 2/3 of their powerset and their whole place amongst kindred society that way. If i want to play a diplomatic meat head i personally think a Gangrel is more compelling for that. Not that I can't have fun with a Brujah, one of my fave SPCs/OCs is a Brujah, Clive. They are just my last pick or if I need more variety to my clan line up.

6. Which clan haven't you played/ developed but would love to try?

Tzimisce! I would love to play a Tzimisce in a v20 game. I'm actually storycrafting at the moment for a Tzim character who is romantically involved with her sire's revenant/ghoul. (The doc for them is titled "Anarch nomadic femme motorcycle danger lesbians" if that's any clue to their characteristics. Still working the finer details.)

6. Which clan haven't you played/developed but would love to try? I haven't played a ton in game honestly! So I think I would love to play a legitimate Toreador... I would love to play the stressed out, can't feel the real deal anymore artist. I wanna be an insufferable character so much! There's tons of fun clans but I think a Toreador would be interesting if I tried! 7. What is your favourite discipline? Why? Thinblood Alchemy!! With the right ST you can do a lot of fun creative work with your concoctions! 8. Describe your worst Messy Critical and/or Beastial Failure that you've played/seen/suffered? I haven't been able to use this mechanic in super dire situations - but I was dancing once with a coterie member on a server, rolled a messy critical, and proceeded to bite him! It was in the middle of a human club and the ST was gracious about us not being seen - but apparently my fellow player was like "Noa just check-marked something on his list" so I vampire-won over my Tzimisce ally. Haha! Not very exciting but it's always interesting to have Noa lose control.

Hi Kelsey, I'm late to the party (again, what a surprise 😆) but I'd love to know your answers to 4, 5, 7, 14, 18... and if you are cool with it 20? For the vtm player asks. Please? I know it's a lot! *runs off while yelling in the distance* Thank youuuu 💖

4. What's your favourite clan? Why? My favorite clan is probably unsurprisingly to anyone who follows me: clan Giovanni, or nowadays known as a small part of clan Hecata. The Giovanni hit a very special niche interest zone for me - the mafia, vampires, weird family dynamics, necromancy and etc! I love the politics within politics the clan has, and I just love how weird but understandable it all is. :D It's so neat that they're an Independent sect to be contended with, and I just love exploring all the WHYs and the HOWs of how they got there.

5. What's your least favourite clan? Why? I don't exactly hate any clan - but I've had unsavory games with Brujah players - so technically I think clan Brujah as a clan I don't care for just because some of the players haven't been great. T_T Actually - Kiassyd are also a clan that kind of give me a ick?? I think because I also played with someone who was also a cringe player playing one at time... sorry most of these are player reasons and not actual good reasons!

7. What is your favourite discipline? Why? I've answered before but it still rings true: Thinblood Alchemy!! With the right ST you can do a lot of fun creative work with your concoctions! I'm constantly coming up with fun mixes for things in Khloe's life. :3 I've made the All*Star Special, which is basically a coffee formula for my exhausted fellows. The Fickle Heart, which can transfer Blood Bonds.... and the Mage Hand of God which is a very powerful telekinetic formula!

14. Who is the (in character) oldest and the (in character) youngest? Would they like each other? For my characters - Parvati is the eldest of my Kindred (bear in mind this is an ST NPC) both in actual age and for how long she's been Embraced. She is probably close if not 3000 years old, born in the early Bronze Age of what is now known as Northern India. Age-wise my youngest character is Parvati's daughter Kahanni who is twenty-five years old, but Embraced Age-wise my youngest is Khloe who was Embraced in 2022. Parvati of course loves Kahanni as that's her daughter, and she probably would pay zero mind to Khloe as Parvati is so old that kine just feel like little insects or mice to her. Kahanni would probably want to play with Khloe ~ And Khloe would probably just be *big fear* with the two of them.

18. One of your characters takes your place, which one would you prefer to control of your life? Well.... sorry to be boring, but probably Khloe! Khloe is the self-insert of my characters so she'd slot right in easy peasy!

20. Is there something specific that influences you for your character creations? I do not often make characters on the fly, I unfortunately think very very deeply about them and their backgrounds and etc and it's very time-consuming! I try to think of concepts I do not often play or write, and then try to step out of a comfort zone! Like - if I don't play "nice people" often, my next character would be someone I try to play as hard as I can to be genuine and good. Khloe is my kind Kindred/Thinblood, because normally my vampires are VAMPIRES and aren't very nice people. If I don't often play "clever and crafty," my next character may be a type who has no fighting skills but can trick a bad guy into not attacking in the first place! In Dungeons and Dragons, I made the illusionist Ishtar, who could not fight to save her life but cleverly avoided things with the right illusion and craft. It's fun to force yourself to think differently!

15. Do any of your characters have a trait or flaw of your own? If so, what is it? Grossly ride or die and mostly monogamous. xD I am unfortunately very dog-coded in person and love to be loyal and deeply in love and I also don't really feel like sharing even amongst my handmade people... I know! I'm sorry! I have to make active efforts to be not-loyal and duplicitous and a liar when playing certain characters... which isn't terrible and is super fun when I do it! Just I knee-jerk react loyal lovers all the time... which I am myself IRL haha! Also: Dark hair. I have no light hair OCs. My hair is black-brown and I've never thought about going blonde really.... maybe lavender silver but... the work. xD

16. Do you have a character that was created from a dumb/ silly idea but now you can't imagine not having them? I think Khloe was made as "HURR HURR BREEDABLE THINBLOOD" kind of funny idea and then she became the little badass she is now! She has nearly all the life-like merits and associated flaws you can have, nearly completely alive save for being obviously not which I fully gave her with the possible "pregnancy" subplot.... sorry.... Lyre was also made to be "strong-body vampire girl who can get with big hot werewolf boy" but now has a cool little piece in the story.... Don't look at me I'm sorry!!

17. You suddenly switch places with one of your characters, which one would you prefer to be? The danger is too much for some of them! Probably Lyre, just lock me up in a cozy mountain cabin with my werewolf boyfriend.... heaven..... >_> Man she is coming up a lot in these asks today, isn't she???

19. Which character is least spoken about? Speak about them now! I spoke about Lyre last time, so I guess lets say Lyubov this time! Lyubov is my Tremere (but an SPC really) who is a path of Morpheus dream-shaper. She's a bit of a classic Tremere bitch and big old masochist... She's unfortunately the Childe most involved with her annoying sire, the mysterious Atticus. I think this poor girls big flaw is "knows too much" and can't escape it.

2. How and when did you get into VTM? My husband and I were playing DND with an old friend, and the DM of that friend liked how we roleplayed and invited us to play on a play-by-post 24/7 VTM server. While the server had tons of issues, it was still what BLEW our mind on VTM. It was 2020 so I think a lot of people were in a weird mindstate thanks to the lockdown.

6. Which clan haven't you played/ developed but would love to try? I said Toreador in my other ask, but I think another fun clan to try actually is Tremere... I've never really played them and I meme about being a hater about them but I do think it'd be so fun to play with that kind of inner clan politics and magic!

12. Who was your first Character? Noa Hidalgo is my first VTM character, my at the time mafia princess of the Five Boroughs of New York. She is SO different than her first conceptual round. She was tall, she had an instagram account and a cute bubble butt. She worked as a bartender at the Independent Elysium basically and always hid her clan. It was so fun.

8. Describe your worst Messy Critical and/ or Bestial Failure that you've played/ seen/ suffered? I answered one but I'll bring up the other scene! Noa messy failed doing fucking TopGolf of all things, so after researching - because she wouldn't frenzy over TOP GOLF - I saw that you can react very VAMPIRICALLY. Something has been agitated in you and you have to respond. So I had Noa be very "I'm in control despite this failure." Basically maxxing the credit card to impress the people she was with because "despite not being good at this stupid golf game, I'm still over you in power." Kind of a round about way to go about it, but we were at a TopGolf. xD

9. What's your favourite piece of VtM Media? eg. Games, books.. The TV series...? I love a lot of it but I can't deny I LOVE that stupid Kindred the Embraced television show. And of course Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines (the first 65% at least!)
