Decided to try and write some sic fic for the first time. But I love reading it so I thought I should write some.

Deema hadn't come out of her room all day, I knew she had been up unbelievably late last night so I didn't eat to wake her that early.
But it was almost 3 pm now... If she wasn't awake by now, I was going to get really worried.
A small soft knock on the door gave me nothing, so I tried a little harder... nothing.
No response. I tried the doorknob this time, and luckily it was unlocked.
But that just made it more worrisome. Anxiety hearing over my shoulders as I pushed the door open. But all I was treated with was Deema in her bed, turned away from the door. I really couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief.
She just didn't understand the extent I worried.
"Hey... are you feeling ok?".
Deema jolted awake. Eyes going wide as she shoved the comforter up higher in front of her. She sighed and turned to me. Clearly shaken by me coming in. She seemed a little pale too, her hands slightly shaky and nose tinted a rosy kind of red.
Her voice was shaky but also raised as she stared at me. I bit my lip... I needed to be more careful. But the way her figure trembled overcame my regret.
"Sorry... But are you feeling ok?".
She nodded faintly. Pushing the covers off her and swinging her legs out from the bed. I walked over the junk that scattered the floor to get to her.
"Fine fine fine, I'm fine, what time it's it?"
She stood, her legs shaking under her and her face going paler. Why were her legs shaking? She was a relatively light person, so to be struggling under her own weight like this...
She fell forward and I extended my arms. My breath hitching for a moment. She gripped my arms, and I could feel her way down as she tugged in them in the effort to keep herself upward.
She seemed Ill... I had never seen her Ill, if she was she certainly never told me.
And I stumbled back lightly from the added weight, I could feel her nails grip into my arms.
"Ah- I didn't mean that!". She pulled her hands away, looking slightly embarrassed. But promptly fell back on her bed with a squeak of the box spring.
"Not fine my ass, I just lost my balance I don't... I don't need help". As if to prove her point she got up again, falling back once more.
"At least let me take your temp.. please?". Without waiting for a reply I left, looking threw the closet for a thermometer. I knew she was getting more used to my help... so why was she so resistant then? There was nothing wrong with getting a bit sick... I didn't mind. And seeing her so... so fragile was both worrisome and also sort of comforting.
I had never gotten the chance to see her like that, so many walls and walls and walls creating a maze of security. She probably hated how every day I advanced threw it.
I returned with it, and she hadn't moved off the bed. Sitting down next to her with a squick of the springs I brushed her bangs away to feel her forehead. It was.. really hot.
"I'll need you to open up, ok?".
She hesitated, her lips pursing. But she slowly did and I slipped it in. Waiting several moments for the small beep and pulled it out again. Her eyes darting down and away from me.
My eyes went wide... that was a tad too high for my liking. It explained why her sheets had that rose tint though...
"No! I don't need to "lay down", I'll be perfectly ok". I looked at her doubtingly. Placing a hand on her arm, in which she responded in a small flinch. Every flinch made my heart broke.
"Please...". She looked away and down at her hands, slowly laying back. "This is stupid"
"Maybe it is.. do you have an appetite?"
She shook her head faintly, still shivering. I reached over and pulled the covers over her. Patting it down, she gave me the oddest look.
"Keep telling yourself that"
