i’ve been rewatching the mcu timeline and i reached iron man 3. as a ty simpkins fan, and a harley keener enthusiast, i adore this movie

however, watching it back, i honestly think they did the character of harley keener such a disservice by just up and leaving him in iron man 3. like yes he gets a cameo in endgame, and yes that is one of the coolest things ever, but i hate how he just never got explored and doesn’t seem to be on the list to get explored

yes maybe i am biased, but i loved harley when i saw iron man 3 when it first came out. i remember watching it with my dad, and saying how cool i thought it was that a kid was helping the tony stark. i remember hoping that he’d get brought up again in future projects

then, i forgot about him. until avengers endgame. it was 2019 and my love for his character just went through the roof when i realised he was there. i waited and waited to see how they’d take the now dead hero’s story forward, as well as my favourite niche/minor character in the universe

i fell out of the marvel fandom after the release of NWH in 2021, that being the last film i watched until late 2024. when i was rewatching the entire mcu again, i was once again pulled to harley’s character (and then was introduced to the existence of the parkner fandom, which oh my god). i love him so much!!!

when i looked into him when i got back into marvel, i learnt he’s mentioned in a what if…? episode and he’s a WEB recruit in the disney spiderman attraction, as well as in the web of spider-man comic (2021). so there is stuff there, he is a character that could be explored, there are ways to bring him forward

i’d give anything to have harley even be mentioned again, or have another cameo. of course at this point it would have to be through spider-man which is almost impossible with the way they’ve reset him

i wish he was explored more before. i wish we got to see him even just once more. i wish it wasn’t all just left to the viewers imagination

i know why they did it, and i also know that it probably was the best choice. and i also know that the fanfics and arts and everything else is only so creative because of the freedom we get with his character

i just wish we had more canon stuff with him. i want to see one of his phone calls with tony, i want to see how harley grew, i want to see his reaction to the blip, i want to see him meeting peter/spiderman for the first time, i want to see tony talking about him with pepper, i want to see harley meeting everyone at tony’s funeral, i want to see how he moved on. any of that would satisfy me

letting him be a more fleshed out character than a throwaway would be so incredible. because he is so important to mcu!tonys story and i’m tired of pretending like he’s not!

YOU REMEMBER WHEN GARMADON CAPTURED MISAKO, I THINK SEASON 9. THINGS GO A LITTLE DIFFERENT HERE.

HE TRIES TO GET HER TO TELL HIM WHERE LLOYD IS, HE'S GENTLE AT FIRST BUT THEN HE GOES ROUGH.

"Bring her in," Garmadon said as they brought Misako to him. He smiled cunningly at her.

"What do you want?" she asked.

"Information," he replied. "What can you give me? "

"And you let me go so I can kick your ass?" she asked suspiciously and incredulously.

"Maybe you should try; it would be more fun," he said, looking at her with his icy gaze. Her heart broke as she saw what he had become. "Maybe you could have kicked my ass when I was weak, but now I have four arms. Do you want to fight against that?"

She looked at him angrily once again.

"And where is Lloyd? "

"I will never tell you where my son is," she said through clenched teeth. "Do you think I'm that stupid? "

"You're not stupid," he said, never removing his cunning smile as he approached her. "But I know how to get what I want."

He grabbed her around the waist with one pair of arms. Every muscle in her body tensed, waiting for a blow.

"Anyone can say a lot about you," he whispered in her ear, sending chills down her spine.

"But you have always remained beautiful."He said this, using his other pair of arms to caress her face while his icy breath passed through her jawline.

She didn't resist him; it wouldn't make sense. This way, every muscle of hers stayed tense, waiting for a fight.

"And now tell me where Lloyd is," he said, pressing her waist tighter with one pair of arms while still caressing her face with the other pair.

His cold breath passed down her neck. A small, unreasonable, and lonely part of her wanted to confide in him. But how could she? She missed him so much. But this wasn't her husband here. This was just the evil part of him, the monster. And how could she? Everything he had done to Lloyd—her poor child .Forced to watch his father turn evil again and fight against him. How he threw him through walls

"I don't know where Lloyd is," she said abruptly, pushing him away. "And even if I did, I would never tell you!

"So," he gritted through his teeth.Suddenly, he grabbed her and pushed her against the wall, causing her head to hit hard.

"Ouch!"

"So you want it the hard way!" he yelled and threw her to the ground. "I know you know where he is!" he shouted when she got up on her knees.

Her thigh hurt badly, and her head was throbbing.

"This is your last chance," he said, getting closer to her. He pulled her up and held her hand tightly. She didn't even try to defend herself; it didn't make sense.

"Where is he? This time, his whisper was almost a hiss.

"I already told you everything." Her answer angered him so much that he pushed her again; this time she managed to catch herself on her hands before falling to the ground.

"You just don't understand," he yelled as she got up again. She stood there, preparing for another blow and deciding not to fight back.

She was tired of everything. Let him just hit her, she would never tell him.

"I'm doing this for Ninjago," he continued, getting closer to her. She moved away, expecting a blow, but it didn't come.

"I hope one day you will understand," he started, and in his eyes, she could almost see the man she loved.

"Take her away!" he called the guards, and he let go of her hand. "Next time I call you, you better sing."The guards took over.

"And give her some ice for her injuries," he said, and then they took her away.

"Oh, Lloyd, my little boy,I hope you're okay… Run; your father has gone mad," she whispered to herself.

Ep-4,Escape

Episode 3

Misako and Pixal are trying to escape.Garmadon finds out Misako lyed to him,and he wants revenge.

"Send them!"Garmadon ordered to Harumi."We need to find my son."

"Yes ,my emperor."Harumi bowed deeply."If we are to trust that woman at all..."

"We'll see," Garmadon said darkly."For her sake, I hope so."

"Pixal, are you okay?" Misako asked gently, sitting on the floor.

"I will be fine," Pixal said in her robotic voice and stood up.

"Where did Garmadon go?"

"To find Lloyd," Misako said, swallowing her saliva.

"But you lied to him..." Pixal looked at her incredulously. "It wasn't a good move to lie to him for my sake."

"Of course I wouldn't let him hurt you," Misako said to Pixal.

"But what have we gained now?" Pixal asked, feeling down. "I'm a nindroid, I don't feel pain like you humans, and he certainly wouldn't hurt you severely."

"He has already broken my heart many times, and I had to watch him do the same to our son. That's worse than any physical injury he can inflict on me."

"He will be furious when he returns." Pixal insisted.

"We need to find a way to get out of this."

"How?" Misako shouted, having lost all hope by now and clearly on the verge of a breakdown.

"You need to calm down first," Pixal tried to calm Misako by placing her hand on her shoulder, but she just stood up and shrugged it off.

"How can I calm down?" Misako asked, this time a little more calmly.

"How can I calm down when nothing is fair?" She tried her best to hold back tears, and thankfully, at least that was working.

"I have a feeling you're not talking about our current situation." Pixal asked, baffled.

"Just ignore that," Misako waved her head. "I have collected myself, and now we need to come up with something."

"My emperor," Harumi approached Garmadon again.

"We found nothing."

"What do you mean nothing!" Garmadon shouted and started choking Harumi with his powers.

"You have deceived me again."

"No, my... emperor," Harumi choked. "I'm..not..the one..who. lied..to you..."

"True," Garmadon mumbled and let her go. "But I know who has."

"The doors are open!" Pixal exclaimed joyfully.

"I can't believe they haven't changed the codes to open the doors." Misako laughed. "Well, this was your home, of course, you can open all the doors."

"Suddenly you're in a good mood?" Pixal looked at Misako in wonder.

"How could I not be?" Misako laughed. "I finally see a glimmer of hope in all of this."

"Hurry now," Pixal warned. "Garmadon could show up any minute."

"Lead the way," Misako followed Pixal.

"Misako!!!!" Garmadon shouted angrily as he entered the room where he held Misako and Pixal.

"What?" He asked, seeing no one there. "How..."

"ARGH, you won't escape from me this time, Misako!" He yelled as he walked out into the hallway.

"Did you hear that?" Misako said in astonishment as she and Pixal ran down the stairs.

The elevator was not a reliable option.

"I did, Misako, keep running," Pixal shouted and grabbed her hand.

Garmadon burned with anger as he pushed through the floors.

"Not this time!"

"Faster!" Misako yelled, but suddenly stopped when a silhouette appeared in front of them.

"Garmadon..." she whispered.

"Quickly!" Pixal shouted.

"Before he notices, go the other way."

*****

Garmadon couldn't help but laugh when he heard the robot's voice.

"Ah, so you are here," he murmured and locked eyes with Misako.

"It's too late..." Misako whispered when she and Garmadon locked eyes.

For a moment, they froze in fear, but then they both assumed a fighting position.

This time, it won't pass without a fight...

Garmadon just continued to laugh coldly.
