I'm still on chapter 14, so maybe I will change my mind about this book later. My opinion so far, I'm not gonna focus on the book's constant diamond choices. These WitSecs are weird, when the owner of the Lobster Shack asked why MC is so good in numbers, Cassian became paranoid thinking she had finally blown her cover and forced her to quit her job. But when the mob boss found MC at the Lighthouse museum, they didn't flee. They were just "Oh right the mob boss found us let's make out in the alley." 😅 Also, I don't like how some diamond scene describe Cassian. Because my Cassian is a female, but they keep describing her as having "huge bicep", "toned abs", if you are describing Katherine from Nightbound it would make sense but my Cassian is just as skinny as MC. There's also diamond scene called "slide down her pants" but female Cassian is wearing shorts. I bet male Cassian is wearing pants and they didn't bother to change it. The diamond scene in which Cassian f#cks MC from behind, seems to be for male Cassian. (it's traumatizing to read if you are not into male) 😅 I don't like this MC, the girl has attitude but I like how the MC and Cassian contradict each other's needs and wants while complementing each other. I like that the MC has a backstory. Her parents are from old money, and their marriage is more like a business partnership that's why she's scared of commitment, which also explains why she doesn't know any house chores and acts like a spoiled brat. I was making this face from chapter 1 to 14 but I find it tolerable.
