Poppy Playtime criticizers are so annoying bro. "OooOoooOohhhh, the prototype official design was so underwhelming oooOohooHooohhhh"
Sorry he's not the grotesque skeleton everyone conjured up in their head like that would make any sense at all. Shockingly, a Toy company with a TOY factory isn't going to make a weird gross skeleton gorey thing that serves no purpose other than shock factor.
This is a fair criticism of Gameoverse that I've seen, but at the same time: It's characters are literally ripped from their world that basically had the premise of kids games, so obviously those characters will be comforted by 'kid' speeches.
PTSD doesn't automatically turn you into a tough old veteran who never gets comforted easily. Nor does it make you a weak coward. You need to take their situations into perspective in order to understand their character and why they would be angered/happy/comforted in certain situations.
i just had a funny thought
what would be the twisted mains reaction to the reader just getting snatched by twisted goob in a blackout or with the lights on
This is kind of hard for me to put into long form content, so a couple of sentences each for each main Twisted. This is going into the wafflerant category because it's not really a massive headcanon thing.
AHEM... -alphabetical order- COUGH
Astro would likely panic in some way shape or form. He's not particularly fast in terms of grabbing you before you're out of reach, so assuming you're still -somewhat- fine after getting bitten, he would snatch you with one set of arms and likely beat the shit out of Goob with the others. Reminder that they're still twisted, and they were attacking provoked.
Dandy unsurprisingly isn't thrilled about it. Goob in this case would either be too braindead to comprehend that grabbing the literal strongest twisteds partner wasn't a great idea, or Goob just wasn't thinking about it. You can probably guess how it would end, but in case you don't; Goob gets thrown around like a ragdoll.
Shelly immediately goes into full on feral due to dinosaur instincts. She doesn't immediately tear into Goob, but as soon as he lets go she's immediately curling her tail around you. Well, tail bone. Like a cat protecting their young. He would be smart to leave after that.
Sprout... honestly, I'd be surprised if Goob wasn't already hanging by a tendril -by the leg- by the time you even reached biting distance. Would Sprout attack? Depends if Goob keeps reaching for you, in that case yes, he would attack.
Vee. Uhhhh.... She doesn't have a lot going for her in this kind of situation other than being pissed. Being caught off guard is bad enough, but now you getting hurt? She goes faster than she normally would grabbing you out of Goob's grasp and promptly kicking him away as she's more worried about you than him. Again, it would be wise to leave after that.
People looking at the TADC leaks and just acting like they know how the show's going to end is so fucking weird to me.
I'm not going to mention the leaks (I've seen all of them because I couldn't help myself) but people acting like the shows going to end on a mediocre note without even knowing the context behind the ending is so fucking stupid.
I would say this is a self-ship, but it really isn't. If anything, it's more like a one-sided relationship.
Small headcanon so this makes sense: I like to believe that the 'bigger body' versions can switch between their horror versions and one similar to the cartoons at will, it just looks really horrifying when watching the transformation.
So, small explanation since this is technically an AU I don't know if I'll continue because I'm already working on other cringy stuff:
During the Hour of Joy, after doing things with Mrs. Gracie, the bigger body version of Baba Chops decided, "Hey, I'm pretty bitter about all the things they did to us. I want to do that to them tenfold."
And my reasoning behind her reasoning is that because she was effectively forced to 'act evil' because she was the antagonist for the smiling critters, became evil she did and with the hour of joy basically amplifying that, here we are. Isolation insanity is also a part of it.
And because I don't think she really has a set personality in canon other than that one voice tape I can headcanon personality for this.
Anyway, she comes to the conclusion that she want's to turn some poor employee into a toy and basically keep them as a sort of stress reliever. Thus, brings our poor soul that's on the receiving end of it: Carson.
Carson (Being an OC because I don't remember a carson in the game) in short, basically WAS one of the people that did deserve being in the hour of joy by (some) toy standards since he was a guard for the factory keeping the toys in check. But it's basically similar situation to Preston, I would say.
Not like he did any experimenting or anything.
Either way, he was randomly chosen to be 'spared' and was turned into a toy. Luckily for him, he can talk! Isn't he so lucky?
...Yeah, lucky.
Just like a brief relationship thing:
Baba initially just thought of Carson as a stress toy. Like, as in he didn't exist as any form of sentient being, just an actual stress toy. A toy that got to share the same pain they did. Eventually this thought process did break, but not before Carson kept antagonizing her.
Speaking of, Carson just hates Mrs. Chops. Outright, no question about it, he HATES her. She and her buddies killed everyone in the factory. His coworkers, his friends and for all he knew, the orphans. He just knows that he hates Baba.
I would like to state for the record that Baba after the initial phases of punching and squeezing Carson in the immediate months after the hours of joy, she mostly just sticks to mental forms of... discipline.
Baba constantly reiterates that Carson is a toy, specifically her toy and that his life before just doesn't matter anymore. She loves her toys and she would never let them go. Hers to have fun with forever. Until the day she dies.
Carson hasn't seen her horror form yet. If he did, he would probably stop looking at her with bitter eyes.
