it's valentine's day so i want to remind everyone that shams is just a lovergirl losergirl deep down. writes letters, reads poetry, makes your favorite food, gets stupid little gifts bc she thought of you, likes to dance, gets a little awkward, you name it! and it does move me so deeply because it’s a grueling work in progress for someone who has struggled so deeply with vulnerability. and she herself doesn’t notice how much she’s changing because most of her early life has been in stasis. no desire no backlash nothing to hunger for, no change. and now there is a woman who embodies far more than the goal she was raised for; it’s actual human connection, the kind that doesn’t come easy, the kind that evades her and pushes against her and still promises to wait for her on the other side. and when you translate that into a proper connection it just goes back to shams finally letting herself take care of people in a more intimate way and (with much struggle i fear) be taken care of as well

I made my first animation for this!! its on chapter 22 :D
