We have Tim!! TIM!!! I love him :') The scene with him watching elias threatening gerry was probably my favourite this chapter! I LOVED the addition of the service dog this chapter, especially in this context, because it provided a really visual representation of how gerry was feeling and reacting to elias. I think, compared to past confrontations and interactions with people, it was a lot more obvious, and the contrast was really cool! Plus there was the whole, 'gerry's got someone - 🦕

Protecting him now and that was wonderful :') I loved how you wrote tim as well!! It was super cool to see his perspective of everything, especially the was he was post-worms, with scars and chronic pain and such. It's not someone I've seen explored much in fic. And I LOVED the way gerry dressed up for jon. The dino shirt! The makeup! Everything! And then his relationship with rosie! Everything was so wonderful!!! And then the combined pain and excitement with tim helping jon get ready - 🦕

To meet gerry... oof. But amazing!! Ahhh as always, your writing is so so amazing and wonderful and lovely and heartbreaking and my brains just going '!!!!!!!!!!!' - 🦕

FALLS TO MY KNEES! DINO! THANK YOU! the lobby scene was super fun to write, i haven’t written anything particularly Tense in that sort of way in a hot minute so i was VERY excited. 

and YES about the SD being a visual representation of gerry’s feelings! i ended up cutting it, but i originally had a scrap line where tim thought something to the effect of how, like. he’s never actually seen a service animal DO that, where the handler is feeling So helpless and frightened that protocol (nearly) goes poof. that dog fucking LOVES him and you’ll see how sweet she is soon!

parker @cuttlefishkitch made a great post about tim’s chronic pain, yes! this is the lore i operate on. acknowledge his new disability, guys! someone help him

and rosie! gerry was being very soft and fond towards her because he knew he was never going to see her again after this! but she didn’t know! so many things are sad when you think about them too long but gerry got dressed up! tim knows the steps to jon’s meltdown routine! jon trusted tim enough to listen to him! it isn’t too late to save all of them! aaaa!

The rest of the episode was hilarious, but I can't help but feel.. bad for Totty in Star of Hope, Todomatsu. Of course he'd be angry and resent his brothers, but at the same time, he wants to be tbe key to him and his brothers getting a better social life. He was frustrated and sad because he really wants to take at least one brother, but he knows he can't and his fears were confirmed when he took Osomatsu in the 2nd season. It's so complicated. :(

I feel bad for all of them tbh, I know there’s a reason Totty is embarrassed of them but it’s gotta be rough knowing that you’re trying your best and your baby brother still thinks you’re a walking humiliation

he knows more about how social interactions are supposed to go, it wouldn’t hurt him to coach them once in a while, more than a few days away from a mixer 😂

but I feel bad for him too bc he’s got five big brothers who are a constant parade of embarrassing behavior! why can’t they just act NORMAL?! they’re all grown adults, he shouldn’t have to be telling them how to act on every little thing!

and especially in season 2 I felt bad for both him and Osomatsu, especially at the end, Totty walking home thinking “well, he was embarrassing but they LIKED IT and wtf?? am I wrong???? is he better at this when he’s not even fucking trying and I have to try so hard and it didn’t even work???”

and then Osomatsu getting outright rejected and straight-up told that the girls weren’t actually having fun and didn’t wanna ever talk to him or Totty again
