Since this recent episode was focused on Nurikabe, I’d like bring up some stuff about this yokai. Nurikabe are yokai that take the form of a wall so they can block off pathways to, from what I can recall, inconvenience people. Which, in my opinion, is very fitting for a character that uses himself as a shield. I don’t know how he has super strength but I can chalk that up to common yokai traits.

That is what Nurikabe’s all about in traditional tales, yes!

As for the super strength, well... I suppose if he put his weight into it, that’d make quite a difference ^^;;
