Shoutout to Walmart for knowing their demographics (broke college students who like Halloweeny movies)
Jackson Racicot’s video has received more than 16,000 views and has been shared more than 400 times since it was posted on Facebook.
On Thursday afternoon, Jackson Racicot walked into a Walmart in Grande Prairie, where he worked, with his resignation letter, handwritten at the back of his printed resume, the irony not lost on him.
He went up to the assistant manager, handed her the letter, and then walked over the intercom. First he turned the camera on his phone and then punched in #807 and started speaking.
“Attention all shoppers, associates and management. I would like to say, to all of you today, that nobody should work here. Ever.”
His quitting video, that he posted the same day with a “must watch,” has since blown up and received more than 16,000 views and has been shared more than 400 times. Racicot claims he quit in such a dramatic fashion to raise awareness about the labour issues that plague employees in a corporation like Walmart.
The video, shot from a low-angle, shows Racicot speaking into the intercom about the management style of Walmart and why he quit.
“I’ve been a loyal employee here for a year and a half and I’m sick of all the bulls—t, bogus write-ups and my job,” he says in the video.
He curses at the management, the job and Walmart before hanging up, which is followed by a “woo” heard in the background.
The 17-year-old says he decided to post the video because he doesn’t want people shopping at Walmart anymore.
“I want people to start boycotting it,” he said.
Since posting the video Racicot says he has been approached with Walmart employees from all over Canada sharing their experiences of working for the multinational retail corporation.
“They tell me how s-y it is at their f—ing Walmart,” he said.
“Someone from Newfoundland, someone from Quebec, another from Ontario. It’s not just our f—ing Walmart. It’s nationwide. It’s a corporate thing. It’s how the managers are trained.”

I asked two Walmart employees if they price match Toys R Us. They both said, that TRU closed a while ago.
We are Canadian, we still have TRU. I even had the physical flyer with me. They both just said no after that.
I told them to put back the four Capsule Chix dolls in my cart then and cashed out. I get that TRU isn’t a local store so they don’t have to price match them, but if I get the flyer in my flyer package, I feel like they should...
**VERY IMPORTANT PSA** 😉
To my fellow Canadian Swifties,
I finally found the Lover deluxe albums at one of the Walmarts in my city. I know many of you were unable to find the deluxe versions at Walmart but maybe try calling around to all the Walmarts in your area!
OMG WALMART HERE IN CANADA GOT THE REPUTATION MAGAZINES/ALBUM THAT TARGET HAS ON SALE FOR PRE-ORDER ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Re-Review: Great Value Spicy Ramen Noodles (Flu Edition) - Canada
Finished (click to enlarge). Added an egg and a slice of Kraft Singles processed cheese. Noodles are plump and have a nice tooth to them. The broth has a comfortable feel and goes very well with the flu. Very therapeutic! I detect notes of salt and paprika, but as far as spiciness goes, this is as spicy as a banana. Indeed, a Great Value. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 62891536609.
New things at my local Walmart. Did not buy.
“We thank our customers for bringing this matter to our attention,” said Anika Malik, senior manager of corporate affairs for Walmart Canada. “The graphic on this item does not represent Walmart’s beliefs and has no place in our stores. We are removing the product immediately and sincerely apologize for any unintended offence this has caused.”
Walmart Canada says it is pulling a baby sleeper from its shelves after customers brought the writing on the questionable product to its attention.
The storm started on Twitter when a user tweeted out a picture of a sleeper that was taken at a store in southwestern Ontario.
The text on the sleeper reads: “I Still Live With My Parents,” while the graphics include an arrow, and two teepees.
“He @walmart. You know that indigenous children are taken into foster care disproportionately don’t you?” @gindaanis wrote on Twitter with the hashtag #racism.
The photo was taken by Elizabeth Sault who is the Aboriginal healing and wellness coordinator for the Niagara Regional Native Centre in Niagara on the Lake, Ont.
“Given my profession, my first thought went right towards child welfare and we have the highest rate of children in care in Canada,” Sault told APTN. “I was with my daughter, she is 13, I thought what a great education for her and how inappropriate it is. At first she was just like ‘oh mom stop,’ because I’m always educating her – and she is probably also of that mindset that it’s no big deal but now she sees that it’s gaining some momentum.”
