When I say I wish I could love in the past, this is what I mean:

I wish I could live in a place and time where old growth forests still stood tall,

Where pollution didn't exist and microplastics and nets didn't clog up the sand and sea.

I wish I could watch the stars without light pollution,

I wish smog and haze didn't roll through the cities in waves, clouding our world.

I wish things were made to last, but, even more importantly, made with pride, made with an eye of craftsmanship.
