Family

It is January 12th and I was thinking about how to celebrate, and as I have been going through the 2nd siege of Burial Mounds recently, I thought why not stick to that.

Because the 2nd siege is also about Lan Sizhui. About his calmness and level-headedness, about his loyalty and willingness to stand for what is right, about his perceptiveness and smartness, about his courage and skill, about his compassion and gentleness, about his friends and his family, and about those he does not yet know to be his family, but cares for anyway.

Happy birthday, dear Sizhui. You make your fathers proud 💙.

just in case you hadn't stumbled on the thought yet, Sizhui calling Wen Ning "uncle" at the end of the series, and in Living Dead (which I'm taking as Canon after they go off on their own), means he acknowledges wangxian as his dads in the show
