Send me a symbol, and I’ll tell you a sure-fire way to make my character feel… ★ Awed/Impressed
Awe is an emotion I would probably attribute more to a younger Nathaniel, likely around the age he was exposed to weapons training and got to watch real masters at work. As a child he would have been in awe of the talented archers who served the Howe family and whose skills he would try to replicate with his own bow and arrow.
An older Nathaniel is impressed by people whose self-discipline manifests in extraordinary abilities, especially on the battlefield. Mages who are as precise and accurate with their spells as an archer would be with an arrow, for example, would easily impress him. The same could also be said for rogues whose dagger handling is exemplary or warriors who serve their role in battle without faltering.
Send me a symbol, and I’ll tell you a sure-fire way to make my character feel… ☯ Calm
Peace and quiet. No Anders. Nathaniel spends a lot of time quieting his mind either by shooting targets with his bow and arrow or tending to his weapons (sharpening his daggers, fletching arrows, ensuring his bow is in good form, etc.)
