which Wardens are in your multi-warden AU? c: (sorry if this has been asked before)

Literally all of them! :D

While I'm a fan of angst, the concept that all the potential Wardens exist at once and only the player character survives their Origin story killed me. So while I do have 3 separate worldstates (Blue Surana's, Isseya Mahariel's, and Alyss Amell's), i have a separate Multi-Warden AU with all 3 of them plus 4 Wardens created specifically for the AU.

While their characters are inherently the same, they experience more growth and happiness in the AU because of the love and support from their Found Family (TM). There's of course some canon divergence such as the division of duties:

Blue Surana is still Warden Commander who after being recruited by Duncan, recruits the other Wardens after his death. She has

Isseya Mahariel (Zevran romance) be the Arlessa of Amaranthine

and Alyss Amell (Leliana romance) taking a step back to specialize in being the Warden's medic.

Ronan Aeducan (aro/ace) is second in Command and eventually in charge of the fortress Soldier's Peak (DLC) and the recruited wardens stationd there.

Nora Brosca (Sigrun romance) becomes the Orzammar ambassador who organizes collaboration fighting darkspawn with the Legion of the Dead.

Kyung-Jae "Kieran" Tabris (father of old god baby Kieran, Velanna romance) isn't in charge of anything (nor does he want to be) but he is often sent out to recruit new members after the Blight. He also trains the new recruits alongside

Cassian Cousland who is head of training but also the foreign affairs liason (communicates/travels to speak with Wardens from other countries). He and husband Nathaniel Howe also manage an orphanage to take care of kids orphaned by the Blight.

I started writing the fanfic of their story as a Multi-Warden retelling of Origins, 2 years ago (when I created this tumblr) but I never finished because of who i am as a person I've been so busy :<

6. What is their alignment?

Evra is very much Chaotic Good just like her Mama. She’s an extremely aggressive person when it comes to doing the right thing and she’s extremely stubborn once she’s on a roll.

20. Would they get along with your Hawke and Warden?

Lmao so. My canon Hero of Ferelden is Evra’s mama Tauriel Mahariel, who married (and is in a poly relationship with) Alistair Theirin and Cassiopeia Cousland. She very much gets along with both her mothers, especially Tauriel. If there was one person she could say shaped her views of the world greatly, it would be Tauriel. The only warden of mine she doesn’t get along with at all is Fen Tabris, who married Morrigan, and that is because Fen is a blood mage. But they have only met a few times so it’s alright.

HOO BOY OKAY. Evra is like best buddies with my Hawke Twins, especially Ophelia. There is a rumor that during the battle for Adamant they charged into the enemy lines together, Evra on Ophelia’s shoulders. Ophelia is also somewhat of a teacher to Evra, being the one who gave her a staff that she only uses in the most dire situations. Both the Hawkes are like older siblings to her and she looks up to them greatly. They may have differing views on blood magic but they always end up giving each other hugs.

7. In Ferelden, people hold dogs at great esteem, so it’s easy to believe that when a person names a dog after you, or vice versa, it’s something of a compliment/honor. The reason I’m saying this is that Krim Amell named his mabari ‘Hawke’, because he looked up to his uncle and cousin Hawke in Lothering.

8. Honestly, it was probably Alistiar. It relieved Krim a lot to see a templar that, not only was not a devout oath taker of his order, but also someone that felt genuine sympathy for being forced to go into an order they didn’t want. He even understood why Alistair supported using the Rite of Annulment. There was a real tremble in his voice and Krim knew that there was a threat of demons making it out.

It put some strain on the friendship for a little bit, but he did understand, given the nature of the matter at hand.

10. Krim went thru a lot of development from leaving the Circle to going back (which, in his own canon at least, was the second place visited after Red Cliff (not sure about Warden Squad canon, tho)). When he left, he was naive, arrogant. Ultimately kind hearted, but also itching to show what he was made of. By the time he laid a smack down on Uldred, he understood that he might not always be strong enough to come out on top, despite what he learned from the spirit of valor (which is canonically in both verses how I explain him becoming an Arcane Warrior before the Dalish Elves quest line). However, while he did learn that his power might not always be absolute, he did come to an understand that he was, in fact, capable of great things and arrogance was replaced by legitimate confidence and wisdom in the measure of how powerful he was as a mage.

Ultimately, from the weeks of traveling, in both verses, his naivete in how the world actually worked was tempered into idealism of what he can do to make the world better, his eagerness to test himself got replaced with a desire to put his power towards a just cause, and his arrogance was shifted into wellfounded confidence.

He didn’t really change into anyone new. Krim just grew into his own mind and body.

Krim is about 20-21, as he just graduated from magic school, more or less.
