After the events of Endgame , Sif meets with Thor again , Asgard gone, New Asgard put in place, really traumatic stuff , He tells her about Loki being alive and impersonating Odin, anger fills her chest, all of those missions...? Then she learns that Loki is dead, finally, with no resurrections this time
And he tells her he died a hero, betraying Thanos, helping save the people of Asgard against Hela , all of it
She's sad , for the friend she grew up with , for the man she tought had lost himself
But mostly she is moved, because he redeemed himself , he finally went back to the brother he loved, he chose the path she hoped he would
Because just like his brother, she held a small glimmer of hope he still had goodness in him
Can you imagine on the Loki TV Show if he traveled to present day ?
How is it possible after...?
And he feels sort of bewildered at her reaction , she smiling at him? And why does she seem so... happy... and relieved...?
She almost feels like hugging him , but she restrains herself
She starts speaking about the events of Ragnarok and he's completely puzzled by everything she describes, she thinks he may be playing with her , he thinks she might be playing with him too, but their mutual confusion seems real to both of them
Then she proceeds to describe the events of Dark World , and is met with the same confusion from him , until she finally notices, a distinct dim blue light coming from his coat
She takes advantage of his confusion to snatch it from him
Wait shouldn't the tesseract be destroyed leaving only the stone...? *Oh*
'I mean, you... are you, but not the same...'
While trying to explain her own confusion to him and herself he manages to snatch it back from her and vanishes in front of her
From now on she'll be keeping an eye on him, of the Loki she knew could have goodness in him and redeem himself , maybe this one will do it too
