Pinky and The Brain Character Headcanons

They're dinky, they're Pinky and the Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain! (narf!) These two, man. They're so funny, I love 'em.

Both:

-Pinky and Brain are very much in love with each other (because yes). Brain realizes his feelings but is terrified of acting upon them. Pinky doesn’t even realize he’s crushing on Brain. The Warners come up with schemes to get them together. They never work.

-Brain and Pinky are both fond of literature. Pinky really likes storybooks and just any book with pictures, especially if they have a happy ending at the end. Brain, on the other hand, prefers analytical books and essays but has often snuck a few peeks at Pinky’s books…he’s read more than he’d like to admit.

-Both Brain and Pinky also enjoy puzzle games. Somehow, Pinky manages to make new sorts of pictures from the pieces.

-Both are fans of the Odyssey and have read the entire thing…for very different reasons. Brain likes how Odysseus doesn’t give up. Pinky likes how loyal Penelope is to Odysseus.

-Speaking of the Odyssey, both Pinky and Brain have listened to Epic the Musical. Both were deeply impressed (Brain especially at how accurate it kept to the spirit of the myth).

Brain:

-Brain doesn’t actually want to take over the world. But what he does want is real change in the world and he’s currently trying to build himself a platform (with Pinky’s help and support of course!)

-In the back of his mind, buried deep in his subconscious, Brain absolutely knows he should go to therapy for his issues. He just doesn’t want to.

-One of Brain’s biggest faults (beside his ego) is that he’s an elitist. He believes in toon superiority (as well as his own and Pinky’s) and looks down quite a bit upon humans. Brain doesn’t wish humans harm though…he just wants them to know Toons are inherently superior.

-Another of Brain’s faults is that he’s surprisingly rash. Not impulsive…rash. While he carefully thinks through his actions, he often fails to consider backup plans or the consequences,, even when Pinky suggests it.

-Brain’s biggest pet peeves are being interrupted (Pinky is literally the ONLY exception to this rule and even Pinky doesn't always get away with it) and false information…especially when it’s being paraded as fact. Brain especially DESPISES social media due to the latter and thus, refuses to go on it.

-Brain is VERY good at domino games and domino stacking/building! He finds the art of domino toppling itself very satisfying and a good way to soothe himself.

-Brain has a fascination for clocks and watches, and sometimes even makes his own just to see what goes into them. He’s in general fascinated by the steampunk genre.

-While Brain is good at building and inventing, what he is NOT good at is repairing. He has set blueprints for when his inventions go right…so when they go wrong and fall apart, he genuinely doesn’t know what to do to fix it.

-He sucks at philosophy. He’s fairly grounded in reality and has memorized a set rules of what Toons can and cannot do so he genuinely has a very hard time thinking abstractly.

-Brain’s favorite animals are spiders. He likes how helpful spiders are to the environment and identifies with how misunderstood they are by the general public. His favorite spiders are the Portia Spider because of how intelligent they are.

-Brain gets along well with the Warner Siblings. The three understand he's not a bad guy at heart and genuinely WANTS to make things better (what helps is that Brain often lets them run loose in ACME Labs to keep the employees on their toes). Brain also happens to be one of the few authority figures who actually respects them and doesn't immediately treat them like pests.

-Brain has a bit of a rivalry with Wile E. Coyote. Their egos clash too much and thus, they often compete on who the smarter one is of the Warner Bros lineup are.

Pinky:

-Pinky is a caretaker at heart. He LOVES taking care of the people he loves (which is usually Brain but it also expands to Romy and the Warner Siblings). He will make sure they feed themselves, clean themselves, and do all that he can to make sure they’re in top top shape!

-One of Pinky’s biggest faults is that he overfunctions his role as Brain’s “conscious.” He often tries to fix problems for Brain himself so Brain doesn’t have to, which has only furthered Brain’s dependence and attachment to Pinky.

-Another of Pinky’s faults is that he makes a lot of excuses for people. He’s such a sweetheart that he genuinely CAN’T see when people treat him poorly…and that includes Brain occasionally.

-A bad habit of Pinky is he has often invested in causes he KNOWS don’t have a chance but wants to see succeed anyway. Pinky WANTS to see underdogs succeed. More than that, he WANTS to help them in their goals.

-Pinky has identity issues. He truly doesn’t know who he’d be without Brain and because he’s so busy helping and supporting Brain, hasn’t taken the time to separate and question who he is and how he should function as a person/Toon.

-Pinky is very good at cheesemaking! He never actually eats the cheese himself, he’s too proud and happy with making it to actually do so. Brain did eat one of Pinky’s cheese pieces once (he wanted to see what it tasted like). Pinky was NOT happy when he found out.

-As a matter of fact, Pinky is an expert at making even the most inedible of food good and safe for consumption. He doesn’t care what Toons say about him making human food. To him, it’s so fun!

-Pinky gets VERY annoyed when people waste food, to the point it’s a pet peeve of his. He genuinely doesn’t understand why someone would throw out a perfectly good meal before they even finished.

-Pinky absolutely ADORES rain and rainy weather! Means puddles to splash in, tasting the rain on his tongue…there’s all sorts of fun you can do in the rain.

So when I was in elementary school or something, I was HUGE into Animaniacs (I still like it I’m just doing my own thing now) And I was a gacha kid. So I got a cute Animaniacs wallpaper. My school keeps our wallpapers locked forever so every time I open my Chromebook I get flashbanged with this
