Hello all! For those of you in the Phoenix area, go check out Shinefest on June 1! I am not able to go in person, however I have art featured in the Shine! zine, and there are 10 copies of my newest zine, Musings on Queer Masculinity, being sold at a table! (Musings will hopefully be added to my ko-fi shop later today/this week)

Analogue
I point my camera as my friends pose In the cafe that keeps us warm on colder days I aim to capture them young, eternal Frozen on film in frames black and white Smiles framed by their laughter lines Preserving the happiness that lasts 1/60th of a second between breaths and sadness I might overexpose the photos or push The film a bit to its limit And photograph friends I fear I’ll Under appreciate. I’ll calculate the shutter speed and aperture to make sure I can Capture my friends properly. Hopefully the photos come out okay.
DESPERATE YOUTH
we’re in the last throes of our youth. soon, nobody’ll consider us young anymore. everybody considered young’ll be of later generations than ours. ours’ll be in charge like every generation gets its chance to be in charge, to shape the world in their image. we’ll be wasting our chance to reshape the world, to do things differently, we’ll know. some of us know it already, now, like the later youth’ll feel it, then. we’ll no longer be young enough to feel it, not like the later youth’ll be. some of the later youth’ll know, then, what we know, now.
