I expected to buy a console at the Bologna Nerd Show (videogames and anime convention in Italy), but I never thought I would have found... This! It's technically a really terrible portable console that was meant as a rival for the GameBoy, yes, but you know, collection reasons...! And even if it's bad, I'd still want to try it and review it. Luckily it was exceptionally cheap for what it is (I mean, not "cheap" per se, but it could have been way more expensive online), and I was so astonished to see one, that I couldn't leave it there! . And on the left, a cute plushie backpack that I got in the same place 🤣. Probably a better purchase than the poor Watara, according to most people 👀. Never heard of the Supervision? Don’t worry, you’re in good company! It was nothing more than a cheap knockoff of the Gameboy, with only a handful of clones to its name! It’s one distinguishing feature-up until it received a Gameboy-styled redesign–was its screen, which could be tilted. The console did have an international release, but it was farmed out to different manufacturers who all branded it under different names. For example, It is more commonly referred to as the Watara Supervision, but in the U.K. the company brand name was changed to its distributor, Quickshot, who were more commonly known as a third-party controller developer.  In the ad displayed here, we see the German model was built and distributed by the toy company Hartung Spiele-Berlin.
