Chapter 22.4

It's girls night! And the friends decided on a sleepover at Zuri's place instead of another day on the beach. While playing Sabacc, they updated each other on their lives.

Zuri mentioned visiting her family with Kenny but she did not talk about the star. Moji is aware and had her chance to celebrate and promised to keep it cool until the engagement party.

Candace talked about how quickly she regretted a camping weekend with Walker's kids.

They had fun but she was also too happy to remove all of the objects she put down for the kids as soon as they left. She loves the kids. She thinks about Kassandra often. But she does not want to change her home for their visits.

Kassandra's birthday also reminded her that once she and Walker leave their bubble, she'd have to deal with feelings that she'd rather not deal with. Such as jealousy over Acadia kissing Walker. She does not believe that it's the first time it happened and she does not think it would be the last. And she doesn't want to care! She's familiar with Walker's new appetite, they've gone to some interesting parties on Sixam-109 together. But a simple kiss from Acadia... and Walker scrambling to explain made her regret trying to carve out a bigger place for him and the kids in her life.

Walker does not want to lose her and looked for her after she ignored all of his communication. They agreed to go back to woohoo partners and keep his life outside of work and her bedroom away from her.

Oasis and Jesse are preparing to move from Blanchisseuse to WIllow Creek. They'll be moving after Deja ages up into a child. They will also have a small bonding ceremony. Moji is ecstatic!

Instead of trying to explain her identity to all the sims that knew Jesse and Desiree, Oasis wants to move on as the 'second wife.' Jesse would rather explain but Oasis has decided that all that matters is that Deja sees her as her mother and Jesse belongs to her. "I'm his wife" is the only explanation she wants to give.

Moji and Ravi have taken a step back from the council to focus on Moji's Savefile.

Ae and Juniper are handling the decision-making for The Cube while Ravi and Moji reconnect and try to make a series of decisions together. She no longer plans for Jesse and Oasis to move there. This is strictly a labour of love for her and her husband.

Candace: Umm, I'll frame a new lot today and - Walker: Stop talking about leaving. Candace: I don't think there's anything else to talk about. Walker: You for real? What do you need me to change, Candace? Candace: Nothing! I just don't want a bonding agreement. Walker: I'm not asking you to sign one. I'm asking you to - Candace: Commit to only you? At least with a nebula or vampire template, we can keep something closer to what we have. You're basically asking for a dreamer bond without the paperwork. Walker: Because you don't want the paperwork. Candace: You think it's just about paperwork? I don't want to pretend that this is enough for either of us.

Walker: It's enough for me. Candace: No. It's not. I was your watcher, Walks. Walker: So you know my track record. I'd be loyal to you. Candace: While constantly thinking about other possibilities. Relationships are no different from mergers and acquisitions to you. Why put yourself in a situation where those thoughts become something we have to feel guilty about? Walker: Then a nebula - Candace: I do not want kids and I do not care about legacy. Walker: Then the vampire - Candace: I don't want the responsibilities that come with official romantic secondaries. Walks, you know I love you. Why is that not enough? Walker: Why am I not enough? Candace: Did I say that you're not enough? I'm saying that I can love you without all those rules on how to love you and we don't need to love only each other. Why do you need to feel like my everything when I am not yours?

Walker: This sim-year is feeling like a personal attack.

Acadia asks for a divorce and now wants me to co-parent with a vampire and his creepy watcher. One kid is only happy when he's beating his brother at something. I barely recognize my toddler because Kades had her new undead watcher change up her face in CAS. And now Candace tells me that my parents have to exit the Savefile?

Cliff Williams: Isn't one of our old watchers in charge?

Walker: Yes. But according to Candace, Moji can't get involved anymore.

Patricia Obianagha-Lund: So? Are you just going to cry over this?

Walker: What am I supposed to do? Go to Sixam? It didn't work before.

Patricia: Maybe Sixam for your parents but you're not a townie, Walker. Life does not just happen to you.

Acadia was not right for you anyway, she took more than she gave.

Walker: That is not true.

Patricia: And yeah, Harry is a little menace. But all kids suck in some way. You have to train them.

Walker: How can you call my son a menace? And say my kids suck?

Patricia: Are you seriously going to keep this whiny attitude? So what if he's a menace right now?

Mom kept acting like my mean trait was her biggest failure even though she has the sharpest tongue in our family. But I can't pick up your slack at work by being nice, Walker.

Walker: You're insulting my business performance too?

Patricia: Yes. Marriage and kids made you ridiculously soft and it is bad for the Bielke-Lund Group but my point is the Lunds do not get attacked by our watcher. Sometimes we have to push for what we think we want but every trait, every interaction, every fear, works for our good. So stop whining and make it work.

A peak into the future:

Reincarnation: Kassandra will need a life long friend (a reincarnation of Walker's mother, Nayeli Stevens) in the beauty industry that will remind her that they can love their job without hating their body.

Disintegration: One of Walker's businesses is an art studio that he got from his father, Philip Lund. Harrison will be instantly drawn to an easel that gives him inspired moodlets. The inspired moodlets in that particular easel would be from Healer Juniper and Framer Candace infusing Philip's pixels rather than reincarnating him.

Chapter 19.2

Candace left Walker a note about her quitting. She only wrote that she had other projects that she needed to work on and Walker did not respond well to being called a 'project.' He had his new watcher take him to Sixam-302 to meet Moji.

Walker: Tell me where she is. I need more than a note.

Moji: Watchers change all the time. You've had how many by now?

Walker: And I came to get you back as well, Moji. Don't forget that. But this time it's different. She's not just a watcher to me. Where is she?

Moji: I can't tell you... Even if you found her, what would you say, Walks? She told you this would not be long term.

Walker: I don't understand why. She was happy. I never asked her for anything.

Moji: That doesn't mean she didn't feel what you felt and know what you needed once you two became connected... That level of emotional connection is not for every sim.

Walker: Then how can I get her without her feeling like that?

Moji: Walker -

Walker: Don't you know I hate this? Depending on her like this? Needing a watcher to sign off on anything in general? Give me a world where I can do all of this myself. I'll thrive. Trust me.

Moji: That's not how it works, Walks.

Walker: Then make it work that way. I don't understand how I lost Acadia. I don't think Acadia even understands why she hates me. But if I'm losing Candace because she feels like she's giving more than she can get -

Moji: She didn't say that.

Walker: She doesn't need to say it. I can take care of her under different circumstances. Or at least get to the point where I'm not a project. How do I get to meta-sim status? What occult can I become?

Candace has started working with Ae Sthetic on streamlining CAS and builds for this era. She felt like Moji had had enough time to differentiate herself from the Dreamers before her time but other priorities kept getting in the way.

Ae was thrilled that Candance was finally ready to give up all her legacies as he wanted to retire from the council and focus on being an architect with Ravi. Although Ravi is a Framer as well, he is focused on the conflict between the different occults and meta-universes and has forgotten the importance of CAS and Buildmode. With Candace on the council and him being second-in-command as an architect, they can work on how the pixels are distributed for CAS and build and cut back on the lifeforce needed in ways that Ravi and Moji do not notice.

Head Protector Merdaniel (Damie): Yo, why him? That's all I wanna know.

Trait-giver Zuri: Seriously?

Damie: Yeah, best friend! Is his lullaby that good? Cause none of us have heard it. We were starting to think he doesn't have one.

Zuri: I don't know. I haven't heard it either.

Damie: So how's he getting you to ignore me like this?

Zuri: He's not getting me to ignore you. I'm not even ignoring you! I just can't drop everything to run to your side these days. We can talk when I have the bandwidth.

Damie: Bandwidth? Huh? I'm some big task to you now?

Zuri: Stop being childish, Damie. I won't call you a task but it's also not my job to take care of you like that.

Dreamer Tristan: You got far on your own but we have Framers for a reason, Moji.

Head Dreamer Moji: Can I have the cousin that spoils me? Please? I know you can do this stuff. I just want you to help me.

Tristan: Still fighting with Ravi?

Moji: Maybe. And Candace is being weird since Walker transformed. I didn't even realize she had a shield up before. Can all Framers block me out like this? Even when I zone in on them?

Tristan: Any sim can if they learn how. Listen.

Moji: Tristan! Since when?!

Tristan: Since we were teens and I realized how sensitive you were. Even before you unlocked your gift, your dad was right that you were always hearing things. That child of the ocean trait probably caused it. But you don't need to know or care about what sims are thinking all the time, Moji. Just focus on your purpose. Now, what is it that you want to do here?

Moji: Get this Savefile up and running. Maybe move Oasis and Jesse from M-143 to M-302.

Tristan: Did they ask you for this?

Moji: No. But I know they want it. They need it.

Tristan: They need to move?

Moji: They need Oasis to stop living in Desiree's shadow.

Tristan: A new Savefile would not do that.

Moji: Why not? A Savefile made just for them? No Oasis Springs, no Newcrest or Blanchisseuse. Just a new beginning for both of them. The three of them. How would that not do it?

Tristan: It won't change what happened, Moji. They need to adapt. Not run away... I'll help you frame the Savefile. You know I can't stand seeing my lil' cuz feel helpless like this. But you have to do most of it yourself, you hear me? I'm not doing it all for you like your school projects.

Protector and Junior Architect Walker: If you change your mind and want to come with me -

Head Framer Candace: I miss them a bit. Mostly Kass. But it's better this way.

Walker: I do like having you to myself.

Candace: And it's all or nothing, right?

Walker: This is not nothing. You know that.

Candace: I know. I mean I can't come and go, right? They have enough chaos, right?

Walker: Do you want to come with us, Candace?

Candace: I do. But -

Walker: But nothing. Come.

Candace: No, it's okay. It's okay. I can't come and then go back to ignoring them.

Walker: I don't think this counts as ignoring them. You think and talk about them more than I do.

Candace: That's - I'm not actually responsible for them, Walks.

Walker: And I told you, you wouldn't have to be.

Candace: That's not how it works. Just make sure Acadia doesn't pick on every little thing that Kass wants to do.

Candace: I'll go spend time with Moji. She couldn't even handle your divorce so this baby culling thing doesn't sound like her.

Walker: I thought we wanted her to make decisions like this.

Candace: We want her to stop freaking out when we make those calls. But I like my Moji as-is... I'll get the plasma fizz for Alex ready while you shower.

Walker: Thanks. And if you change your mind in the morning -

Candace: I won't.

Walker: If you do, I'll come get you, alright?

Candace: Okay.
