Everything is gone

My wavemaker overwrote my story with a save file and for some reason ALL OF MY SAVE FILES ARE BLANK.

This means all of unfathomable and the world I made is gone… all 10,000+ words, all 4 short stories, character back stories, Everything is gone.

I’ve posted on the Reddit page for wavemaker to hopefully get some help but if they can’t help then it’s all gone.

The only thing I have is what I’ve posted here to tumblr… so thank the gods for that that not every single word is completely erased from reality but it sure feels like it right now

So excuse me while I cry like a baby and scream at this stupid fucking laptop and my fiance for causing this (unintentionally, he was betareading and accidentally highlighted and deleted an entire paragraph so I went to the saves and that’s how we found out wavemaker hates me and saved blank files and overrode my entire thing so once I opened it everything was gone.)

WHY WAVEMAKER IS THE BEST WRITING SOFTWARE: A POWERPOINT INTRODUCTION BY ISA @endymions

ever since i found out about +wavemaker.cards, i’ve been an eensy-weensy, teensy little tiny bit obsessed with it. ive infodumped for an hour to @welcometowriteblr on two separate occasions about it. its an all-in-one writing software that lets you plan and outline your novel, then type directly into a document linked to each section of your outline. super organized, super cool.

i got limited to 10 slides because of tumblr, so i thoroughly apologize for throwing any and every powerpoint rule out the window and shoving it into one nightmare slide (i’m looking at you, slide 2). you’ll have to click each slide to read it, and zoom in on some :/ im really sorry i just had so much to say T_T. 

i use the outline based off of +blake snyder’s save the cat! i totally recommend checking that out if this outline style works for you. i mention it on the slides, but if yall want me to do another ppt on my exact planning method which includes a google spreadsheet, i’ll be more than happy to do that!

Does anyone else try to obsessively timeline tv shows?  Like it starts with, I wonder what the ages of the characters are during specific seasons.  And then it just... snowballs from there.  Something tells me the writers at Criminal Minds did not always keep track of when things happened.  (ie Nov 2006 goes from episode 1x19 Machismo to at least season 2x12.  That includes Elle getting shot, Elle recuperating, Elle leaving, and Emily joining the BAU.)

On a semi-related note, the Wavemaker program with the mind-mapping is fun to use.

Plunging close to the outer edges of Saturn's rings, on January 16 the Cassini spacecraft captured this closest yet view of Daphnis. About 8 kilometers across and orbiting within the bright ring system's Keeler gap, the small moon is making waves. The 42-kilometer wide outer gap is foreshortened in the image by Cassini's viewing angle. Raised by the influenced of the small moon's weak gravity as it crosses the frame from left to right, the waves are formed in the ring material at the edge of the gap. A faint wave-like trace of ring material is just visible trailing close behind Daphnis. Remarkable details on Daphnis can also be seen, including a narrow ridge around its equator, likely an accumulation of particles from the ring.
