Hi! Do you think that Satomi could have some kind of trauma from the Karaoke contest day that resulted in him stopping choir and singing all together? Specifically from the shock and thinking that Kyouji died in that car accident.
Do you think that Kyouji could have some kind of avoidant attachment issues from old ago, seeing that he did have sugar mommies back then

I definitely think Satomi's got trauma from the events of that day. What Satomi says at the end of chapter 17 is related to it, imo. "And Kyouji is alive. That's all there is to it." I agree it could be why he stopped singing and quit the choir club. Like the events of that day were so closely tied to singing, it must have left a scar and stopped him from keeping up with it. And losing his voice at the same time must have been the cherry on top. Everything happened in just one day, and he was so young. I think that's enough to stop a kid from singing/joining choir again. Singing til your voice breaks in a room full of yakuza at 14 might do that to you.
As for Kyouji, I actually never thought about that. I don't know if I'd say attachment issues because he's clearly very attached to Satomi and he shows up for him etc. But I think when you think about their relationship, it's hard to say that Kyouji simply has attachment issues because the nature of the relationship is so blurry. And also everything surrounding it, Kyouji can't really allow himself to embrace it or get "attached" like you would in a normal relationship because it would impact Satomi in all the wrong ways. So, I didn't think much of the sugar mommies but maybe he's always dealt with unclear and complicated relationship so that's also how he behaves and doesn't know any better. Interesting point!!!
