A puppet with a vision - it wasn't the first time that he'd witnessed an artificial life form receive a vision, of course, but considering just how much the Gods seemed to forsake Scaramouche, it was a little surprising, though the fact it was anemo was also rather amusing. The element that symbolised freedom - yet it's owner currently laid strapped onto a padded table that he was no doubt all too familiar with, surgical lights shining brightly over his form, as though he laid in the spotlight on some stage, which, in a way, he somewhat did, did he not?

Rolling the vision between his hands, he'd been simply watching as the other slept away, oblivious to what fate had in store for him, or perhaps he was having nightmares, if he could recall the manner in which he'd been captured in the first place. Still, it was his own fault - erasing oneself from history and trying to escape the consequences of his betrayal? Why, if Dottore had any emotions, he'd feel rather hurt, after all he'd done for him too. Instead though, it was simply amusing.

When Gore first came across the other, they thought they were an intruder because of his... strange scent. He didn’t smell like anything they’re ever smelled before, so approached in a defensive manner. Pollen spreading across the ground & covering the ground & eventually the wanderer it it’s black substance to tell Gore of his location near by, approaching the newcomer slowly.

Which, when they happened upon the newcomer, is when Gore learned that he was... outcold. Making the black wyvren look at the strange being that was the puppet with curiosity. He’s outcold? Out here in the forest? What gives?

his  footsteps  barely  make  a  sound  as  he  picks  his  way  through  the  underbrush.  externally,  the  wanderer  looks  as  casual  as  they  come  —  bundle  of  thin  sticks  tucked  beneath  one  arm,  eyes  sweeping  to  and  fro  as  he  searches  for  a  decent  place  to  CAMP.  the  sun  hasn't  quite  set  yet,  but  from  the  way  the  sky  is  slowly  beginning  to  color  with  a  medley  of  pastel  hues,  ren  knows  daylight  will  be  awfully  SCARCE  soon.  he  should  find  somewhere  to  settle  down,  lest  he  end  up  stumbling  around  gracelessly  in  the  dark. 

more  importantly,  he  knows  he's  being  watched.

he  hasn't  said  anything  yet,  because  he  would  prefer  his  assailant  to  make  the  first  move  —  but  this  waiting  game  is  swiftly  growing  TIRESOME.  he  isn't  particularly  worried  about  anything  beyond  the  threat  unwanted  company  poses  to  his  quiet  night.  fine.  so  be  it.  ❝  i  know  you're  there.  ❞  ren  calls  out,  absentmindedly  grabbing  another  stick  for  the  pile.  ❝  you  aren't  being  very  subtle.  ❞

The puppet laid there but his mind was still semi-conscious, he just couldn't get his eyelids to open to see who was there. He could feel his limp body being lifted then warmth hitting him full force as his head was literally being placed in a mouth of sorts with saliva coating his face, he tried to send signals to his limbs as all that responded was his right arm as it struggles to move. He was glad that he was mostly mechanical by design as his mechanical ears could pick up strange audible noises of disgust, he tries to move his lips to speak.

"...w-who's...there...w-what do you....w-want...?"

He figures the thing is dead- hence the lack of movement and the rancid taste. Blood itself had a coppery taste to it, but this was far too metallic for his liking. It reminded him of when he forgot that he didn't have to groom so much of himself now that more than half of the flesh on his body was machine.

Shaking his head to flip the lone strand of matted hair from between his eyes to over his back, he prepares to pad on, stepping over the murmuring creature. Oh...wasn't dead. Yet. With shiny claws curled inward like that of an anteater about to dig in to a mound of termites, he reached out to curl dagger tipped nails up and cup the path-sprawled creature's chin, tilting up high to expose throat. A tilt of his head signals consideration, and a soft beeping behind a lit iris determines his suspicions. Not a Kong. He should save his energy.

"...what a thing to ask when you're the one in the footpath. Clearly, you want to be stepped on...or stamped out."

"Hello, have we met before?" Ei asked him looking down at the familiar-looking boy. "I'm sorry you look like someone I once knew, or I think I knew."

A good match? The puppet was at a lost of words as he never had compliments about his attire before, he looked at the joyful toon before replying with a slight bow of his head.

"Ahh...t-thanks. I never had anyone tell me that my attire suits me as it took some time to fully design it, I appreciate your compliment and if I may ask, would you happen to know the name of this place? If you could tell me, it would be most appreciated."

"Well sure! Let's see, last street I stopped for lunch on was Dinner, and took a downward spiral on Hope, then I thiiiiink we were on 57th for a while. Or was it 37...."

"WAIT! I know exactly where we are!"

"We're lost!"

      Amber hues take in the smaler male. Scrutinising him the entire time. It seems he had no issue being around someone who was clearly part of the Fatui... Interesting.

      "It's the eyes. They remind me of... a very old acquaintance I haven't seen in decades." States the Harbinger as he doesn't elaborate any further. But a glove hand waves, as if he's dismissing the thought. It's a concern for another day after all. 

      "Your concern isn't needed however. I wasn't doing much of anything to be disturbed."

What a curious turn of events. Surely one of the very last people in the world he thought he'd come across was this one, but there was no mistaking the familiar energy radiating from this seemingly young man. Interest was thoroughly piqued, the old god smiling as he gave the other a polite nod in thanks.

"With you having so swiftly eliminated what most would perceive as a threat, I assume you are not here to cause me any harm so I thank you for your assistance. Unfortunately, the wilds of Liyue are quite dangerous with ne're-do-wells lurking amongst many of the nation's ruins, but it is a shame not to enjoy the scenery on a walk every now and then."
