It was legendary...but don’t make fairies cry on purpose, yeh?”

A large soda and churro in hand, Eric looked for a space to sit down. The people here sure did seem to love their carnivals. When he noticed an empty seat across from someone, he made his way over. Maybe he could make a new friend in the process. “Hey, man, are you waiting for anyone?”

She should have known that heading out, mid-day, with the carnival in full swing would set her a little on edge, but she’d made a promise to herself to go be social. At least a little. Standing off to the side of one of the balloon dart games, a brow quirked in slight amusement when a third dart missed. “I don’t think your tactic of closing one eye and squinting the other one is working for you.”

He had summoned up the courage to go out for a sunset stroll onto the Santa Monica peir. It would be a lot of people and many running into to him not noticing he was there. All that time he could be spending with the comfort of a book. The book would serve him no judgement and would never fight back. He couldn’t say that for the people out on that peir. He went anyways knowing the Maldettes would be proud of him. 

His long stroll proved to be beneficial as he was able to grab a snow cone with grape flavoring. Though he stopped dead in his tracks when he noticed a woman walking who had dropped something from her bag. It dropped to the ground and no one seemed to notice. Without thinking he went to pick it up and chase after her. “P-pardon. Sorry, sorry. P-pardon, you dropped this.” He reached out unable to really look her in the eye.

Fourth Of July w/ Rolly || {Memories} 

Anthem: Kiss Me - Sixpence None The Richer  

Highlights: 

-The two started their day together running around the carnival like little kids. Riding some of the rides, and playing a few games.  Like any romance story - she got herself a stuffed animal. 

-After getting almost sick, and sneaking in a few alcoholic drinks they took things to the beach. Walking along the shore hand in hand with their blanket in tow. Lilly had a few sparklers packed away for the night. A few comments later from the every so charming Roger - Lilly had no choice but to shove him into the water. 

-Once finding a spot away from most they set out a blanket to watch the fireworks with each other. Practically sober they shared a kiss - no one ran away, and not a drop of alcohol made it happen. Though if you ask them - they’ll just tell you it was a ‘ in the moment ‘ thing. Nothing spectacular.

He hoped that he would be able to avoid any of the people he was trying to avoid. He had meant what he said to Ariel. He was going to stay well enough away and then leave after he graduated. There were plenty of people and he had met a couple of new people he would be interested in seeing again. He apparently though was just not having a lucky week. When he saw Naveen he tried to go down the next row of games but there was just no way to get out quickly without making it look like he was running away. “Oh, hey. Naveen, right?” He asked since they were now standing in the same line for the same game.
