I am once again completely baffled by the insane lack of canonically Hispanic characters in media, especially cartoons. Yes, we can always headcanon different characters to be Hispanic based on traits they share (looking at u Cole brookestone), but I’m talking about outright Mexican cartoon characters. WHERE are the Latina baddies????? WHERE is the culture?? The music?? The food?? THE CHARACTERS????? I dare you to think of a Hispanic character right now. Now who did you think of? Dora? I'm gonna rant about this for a bit:

Daryl hasn't been in any kind of romance for 9 seasons, he was /the/ most closed off, introverted character in the entire show, and if he was in a romance, it should've been someone that mattered, not just to Daryl but also to the viewer, somebody we knew and liked and were familiar with and could approve of, not someone's we met just that season like Connie, especially Not someone we met in one episode, and have their story be told in One episode. I simply do not give a fuck about that Lia girl or whatever, simply because I don't know her, and HER being the one to have a thing with Daryl over (for example) Carol?? bruh that made me straight up hate her.

A romance in a show, movie, game, whatever, should have almost the same impact on the viewer as on the characters themselves, it should matter and make us feel, but that shit they pulled only made me angry and disappointed.

I don't like Carol, she's my most hated character, but at least I could see her and Daryl together and happy, cuz they know each other, they have a good dynamic, with their ups and downs but always find their way back to each other, we care about her, whether she's liked or not, but somebody completely new who didn't have any impact on the show at all? whos story and romance with Daryl was told in One episode? straight up disappointing.

Especially, Daryl would've been the perfect aro/ace representation, they wouldn't even have to confirm him as such, it still would've mattered to see one of the most famous tv shows characters not be in a romance and yet completely capable of life and be a badass such as Daryl.

when I read that they contemplated of making Daryl gay in the beginning, that shit made me happy as fuck, but I was okay with them not doing it, I loved that they described him as "somewhat asexual" and I was happy about them not talking about his sexuality at all, but this is not It.

did anybody ask for Daryl to be in a relationship with a stranger? did anyone want that? were there big demands about him having a relationship? or complaints about Not being in love?

R*ck‘s whole thing with accurate LGBTQIA+ representation is off? Like, sure we have Nico, but he was outed (which is never healthy don‘t believe that) but that’s one (1) character. And, yes, we do have Lavinia but we had a brief glance of her in one book, we have Will but he’s a minor character too as well as the lesbian couple in TOA. Magnus being Pan/Omni/Bi/Poly is great too but it’s only really touched on the last book. And we have Alex (who I LOVE to death btw). But our HoO/PJO/TOA characters aren’t getting much representation.

I want an Aphrodite kid who’s aro/ace and everybody’s fine with that because love presents itself in so many different ways.

I want a trans kid and the struggles they have to go through!

I want Artemis to be totally fine with Lesbians (because why tf is she not?!??!!)

Give us these characters and more, because the lack of them is sad. A minor character with 5 minutes of read time in the book id not enough.
