last night at quarter to three i woke up to the doorbell ringing and i ignored it for  a while but the person at the door was super persistent and none of my flat mates woke up so i got up and looked through the spy hole in the door and saw that it was some guy. i was half asleep but i did think to only open the door a little bit and he looked so genuinely offended at that and was all "i'm not gonna do anything" and i was like "i don't know that man, you're ringing my doorbell in the middle of the night" and then he asked if my flat mate was home but she wasn't so i said no and closed the door in his face but when i thought about this morning i realized he was really upset and i probably should have been nicer even if i was half asleep...
