We’re sad. And angered. And scared. My workmates are in shock, they are worried about me, about us, about their future, our future. My boss asked me upstairs and he made a nice speech. “I don’t want you to feel unwanted, I can imagine what this feels like, but they only won by 2%” Not gonna lie, I do feel unwanted. My colleague Andy, he’s from Devon, grew up in Canada, toured as an actor all over Europe, asked me for a fag and as we sat there gloomily smoking and looking on sun drenched and wind swept Leicester Square, he turned to me with tears in his eyes and said “I’m in shock. I feel like a foreigner in my own country. I feel ashamed.”
