They killed his family and his future. They killed innocents with no mercy, with lies to protect humans from a greater threat. They almost killed the boy too.. Peter has found him in the room next to his nephew, who barely was alive anymore, his body mostly burned and poisoned with aconite.
The boy was in coma too, a bullet in the head which should have killed him. But Peter could feel the magic underneath the pale skin.
The boy would heal and he would live and he would help him… to take vengeance for what was taken from him.

And so starts the big, dark, ugly vengeance road trip with these both.
In my thoughts, Stiles family was part of the innocents who were killed, because they knew about the Hales, about the supernatural and were part of this world too, like Stiles got his magic from his mother. Derek would actually wake up again one day, after years, but his body would still show a lot of burn scars which would never heal. It’s likely that Peter will die in the end of that trip, because the rage and hate and his desire for vengeance will slowly eats him inside.
I actually found a fanfiction while working on that artwork, which is a little bit similar from the idea. “What Goes Around” by @gingersnapwolves.

Summary:
After Stiles was taken by Gerard, he tries to push through the injuries he sustained in the Argent's basement. He's hurt more than he realizes and almost dies. He calls for help, but he ends up calling someone he hadn't meant to call. Now, Stiles has to deal with the after affects of torture, almost dying, physically healing, and confusing feelings he's starting to get for a certain broody emo werewolf. The bi panic is real.
