Got an idea to try and design outfits based off of the weapons of RWBY! So far I only have Weiss’s weapon, Myrtenaster, and an idea for Ember Celica. I might toy with this more, because this was fun! Explanation under the cut
So the silver color and white hair is probably obvious (Because metal and Schnee).
The skirt / dress is pleated to have the inner pleats colored, a reference to the dust barrel slots on the weapon.
The design on the boots and the neckline are taken from the etching around the barrels, because it was the most simplistic and easy to replicate etching on the weapon. Otherwise I would have tried to incorporate the pattern on the flanges (The bits that stick out) more. I almost tried to figure out how to use the flanges shape and etching as the heels of the shoes, but I couldn’t figure out how best to make that work, and would have been better for someone who uses blades on their feet (Like one of the Malachite twins...Militia?)
I kind of have in my head that the colored pleats might have dust sewn into them in different patterns, allowing for dust usage like Cinder did in Volume 2′s “Dance Dance Revolution”. Each color having the corresponding dust of course.
I also figured that the outfit should be reminiscent of the wielder, considering the fact that the weapon is so tailored to the user. So while there are some differences, there are also a lot of obvious similarities.
