So for Mother's Day John installed a new faucet with the sprayer built in and a nifty new soap dispenser that pulls soap from a gallon jug under the sink. No more dish soap sitting out and getting in the way and it should take a while to empty that jug. I love things that make a necessary daily task not only easier but also more enjoyable. For me having nice tools (sink, faucet, soap dispenser) that I like does that. That's important because I don't have a dishwasher, I am the dishwasher. We also rarely went out to eat even before the plague times so that means meals made from scratch several times every day. I'm not kidding when I tell you last night was our first Date Night in FOUR YEARS. So, long overdue. And so, so fun. I joked that it wouldn't be as much fun, having incredible, expensive 5-course dinners, if we did it all the time, but it was strange and lovely to get dressed up and enjoy adult conversation. And I didn't miss having to feed someone else, pick food up off the floor, and eat as quickly as possible so we could get out of there before a tantrum. No, strangely, I didn't miss that at all...
