alice had hardly slept. one, it felt weird being apart from frank, even if it was only for one night and for a very good reason and two, because the excitement was already building up inside her. alice and her wedding party had arrived at the venue- well if you could the outdoors a venue- a few hours before the wedding was due to start. she was sat in the small marquee they’d built for her to get ready in. her friends already handing her glasses of champagne as charity did her makeup and helped her get ready. all of them talking about how happy they were for her and how her and frank had always been destined for each other. alice had butterflies in her stomach but it wasn’t due to nerves- more for the anticipation of the events of the day. she wasn’t nervous at all, but that was frank’s effect on her, even if something didn’t go to plan today it didn’t matter- it would still be perfect because they got to exchange vows and take the next step in their life together.  alice couldn’t wait to become frank’s wife. they had arrived here very quickly after starting dating there was no doubt about that but alice held no reservations about it. frank was her person, it was as certain as the sun rising in the east. alice had seen no reason to wait. she knew she had found something very special and she wasn’t going to waste a single second of it. alice couldn’t help but tear up when she saw herself in the mirror. this was real and today was about to be one of the happiest days of her life- one she would remember forever. alice was not one minute late as she walked across to the venue, watching as her bridesmaids walked up the aisle. her dad was giving her away and she laughed contently as she saw the tear that ran down his face as she linked arms with him. she’d never seen him like that before and she was happy to have made him proud. her heart was beating ridiculously fast as she took her first step up the aisle- her eyes finding frank though he hadn’t turned to look at her yet. the smile on her face growing even wider.  alice didn’t take it for granted how lucky she was to receive frank’s love- it was everything.

Kate still couldn’t believe she was now officially Sam’s wife. That was something she wanted from the time she was a sixteen-year-old. For once in her life, it finally felt like everything was falling into place. Small and simple, their wedding had been absolutely perfect. Their families and friends (well, Sam’s friends) had been in attendance to share the special day with them, which made it even better. Even though it was nice to have everyone there, all Kate cared about at the end of the day was marrying Sam. 

Because of Kate’s pregnancy, the wedding happened sooner than they initially thought, but she couldn’t be happier that things worked out that way. They were starting a brand new chapter in their lives together as husband and wife, and in about four months, they’d start another chapter as parents. 

At the wedding reception Kate had been talking to her mom and Sam’s mom, mostly about the twins of course. They only recently told family and she wasn’t surprised that was all their moms wanted to talk about. Since she was almost five months pregnant and was carrying two babies, Kate was showing quite a bit and chose a dress that she had been able to grow into. While it wasn’t technically a shotgun wedding, it really did look like one...which she found to be more funny than anything. 

As Kate stepped away to go find Sam, she felt a fluttering sensation in her stomach that she hadn’t felt before, and she couldn’t help but smile at the fact that it was the first time she felt the twins move. She approached Sam, gently took his hand, and placed it on her rounded belly. “I just thought you’d like to feel this,” she said, the smile remaining on her face as she looked up to him. “I think they’re excited that mom and dad got married.”

  Jack grinned, half tempted to pull her back into the hay and continue their romp from last night, but sounds of the horses below pulled him back to reality as he found the last of his clothing and tugged it on hastily, taking her hand and kissing along her fingers and up her arm teasingly; “Later then, m’luv.” he teased.

 The pair moved towards the ladder leading to the lower part of the stable, but they would be too noticeable. But there was also a pulley rope and a platform below, layered with thick bales of hay. Jack took hold of the rope and shimmed down it easily, landing softly on the ground, obscured by the stacks of straw, looking back up at Maria and motioning for her to follow.

42. A kiss out of pride

It was the night before their big day: Their wedding day. Many weeks had been dedicated to planning the next 24 hours down to the smallest detail. It was their last night together as an engaged couple, and Markus couldn’t be prouder of who he had chosen to spend the rest of his life with. He watched from the bathroom as Kendall prepared to go to bed, pulling his favorite baby pink silk robe about his slender frame. Markus ambled up to his fiance, placing one hand on the android’s waist and one against his cheek. He leaned in, planting a chaste kiss to Kendall’s soft lips. He slowly pulled back, a huge smile on his face.

“Kitten, you know I love you, right?” Markus asked, tears of happiness starting to well in his eyes.

After so many years of courtship and struggle. The day finally arrived to tie the knott. To become husband and wife, ontop of King and Queen. That was just a minor detail. Everything was going perfectly, swimmingly even! Every little detail was on the dot. Well, with an exception of one. One that had a maid running to Shizuo for help!

What was wrong? Oh what was wrong!? Cinderella, the bride and Queen to be. Whilst getting dolled up with layers of makeup and her hair getting worked on. Began bawling. Full on crying with rivers of tears running all the make up and work just finished! A tragedy for such a momentous day!

“Lady Cinderella please calm down..! Sh- Shitsuo will be here soon, he’ll help with whatever ails you!!” One of the maid tried to soothe the sobbing princess but to no vain. Was it cold feet? Sudden regret!? No one knew!

Same Old (New) Song and Dance [Closed RP]

Toni smoothed her hands (for once, free of oil stains and scuff marks) over her stomach, her touch light as they stroked the white fabric stretched over her rounded stomach.  She was genuinely shocked that she wasn’t trembling.  Or attempting to get into one of the suits despite the fact that they definitely wouldn’t fit.

It was far from the way she had imagined her wedding; she was missing key parts of her anatomy, and the dress had only been a factor in a few drunken musings.  And the kids?  Hell, she’d never seen herself as parent material, not with her upbringing as the main example in her life.  And yet, here she was, one robot-turned-toddler already here, another on the way, and a third that wasn’t technically hers, but that she loved in spite of it.

Part of her was terrified, but it was a good kind of scared, like the first time she’d shot out of the workshop and into the sky.  It was something she knew she wanted, something that she’d wanted for a while, even though she’d denied it with her own behavior over the years.  She took in a shaky breath, and let it out, then smiled at herself in the mirror, the same cocky, self-sure grin she’d always been known for.  “Well, here goes nothing.”
