So important context, back in the early 2000s it was really really difficult to get any kind of anime merch if it didn’t come from a hot topic and wasn’t a 4kids show. Some dedicated comic book stores might have stuff, but there was still a big anti manga sentiment in comic book communities at the time. even stickers were pretty rare and not entirely cheap as you could only get them online on ebay. Even cons usually didn’t have a lot of variety. Artist alleys were not as big and custom resin keychains and pins were not even a twinkle in most fan artists eyes yet. A lot of kids would print out pictures of screenshots from their favorite anime and tape them to their binders and such, and most kids did not have access to a color printer, and if they did, it was usually a really bad one….and yet kids would trade stuff for these bad screenshot print outs like they were money.
So yeah. Bootleg Anime stickers was a pretty thoughtful gift back in the day. Especially if they were glossy waterproof ones.
But now that hes opened that pandoras box…he may have some other customers to deal with….
He only has himself to blame.
Also yes. The edward elric body pillow from pizza hut was a real prize you could win in 2005. I should know, I got one lol
If anyone deserves a body pillow, anime or otherwise, its rogue. Girl is touch starved af.
