How Anime Quietly Saved Me (And Why I'm Starting This Blog)
I didn’t grow up with anime like a lot of people here. I didn’t know what a “shonen” was, or why people cried over fictional characters with spiky hair and dramatic backstories.
But then life got messy — the kind of messy you don’t talk about at dinner tables.
And in the quietest moments, I found anime.
It started with one episode of Your Name. I thought it was just a movie. But somehow, the emotions hit harder than I expected. The characters felt... more real than most people around me. Their struggles, their awkwardness, their little victories — they mirrored mine in ways I couldn’t explain.
Since then, I’ve cried over A Silent Voice, laughed like a kid watching Spy x Family, and felt deeply inspired by Attack on Titan’s impossible choices.
Anime became more than just a show. It became a safe space. A mirror. A reminder that healing doesn’t always look loud — sometimes, it comes in 20-minute episodes and subtitles.
So this blog is for people like me — who turn to stories when real life feels too much.
Let’s talk anime — the good, the bad, and the heartbreakingly beautiful.
No judgment, just vibes.
