Assertion: Bullying takes place all over, at any given time, and at any age. Bullying is difficult to get away from and its consequences can be devastating. Those who bully others often don't realize the damages they are making until it is unfortunately too late.

Example: In this Public Service Announcement about bullying, we see the consequences of what bullying can lead to. The video starts out with a girl who is minding her own business in the hallway of her school. She notices two other girls approaching her and in her hurry to get away, she drops her books. As she picks her books up and walks away, one of the two girls gives her a compliment. The girl who was eager to get away gives a small smile and continues walking. As she is walking she receives a nasty message from the same girl who gave her the compliment. The girl looks shocked and sad. As she reads the message her wrists begin to bleed and she passes out on the floor.

Explanation: The girls bleeding wrists signify her suicide from the bullying she received. The example jumps rapidly from one simple act of bullying to the act of suicide but it is effective in showing the consequences of bullying.

Significance: The video states that 19,000 students attempt suicide each year from bullying. One of those 19,000 students could be your siblings, nieces, nephews, or even your own children. It is important for everyone to speak out for those whose voices have been taken away from bullying. A simple smile or helping hand can make the difference between someone choosing life or death.

Assertion: Criminals are still going to find ways to get guns. Taking them away from citizens would make crimes easier for criminals.

Example: In the video, the criminal is saying that he faces, "the possibility of being shot and killed." He says he supports gun laws because it would make his life easier. He breaks the law for a living, so he would still have his own guns, but the victims would not.

Explanation:This shows that criminals are in favor of stricter gun laws because it will make it easier for them to commit serious crimes such as theft, rape, and murder. The person in the video even said that he breaks the law for a living so he is still going to have guns. With stricter gun laws, there will just be less danger for the criminals because the victims will be unarmed.

Significance: Stricter gun laws can lead to more crime, which would put more innocent people in danger because they will be unarmed against an armed criminal.

ASSERTION: Drug abuse can hurt and affect people who are not using. Using drugs can tear apart relationships and lead you down the wrong road. Learning to say no and help others stay away from drugs can be beneficial to many people and families.

EXAMPLE: In this video, the little boy watches his sister do drugs. This is an example of how drugs can hurt other people besides just the user. The boy is not doing drugs but becomes affected by watching his sister. Also in this video, the girl is caught doing drugs with her friend. This is an example of being able to say no and stay away from people who could lead you down the wrong road.

EXPLANATION: This example shows that drugs can affect other people. It also shows that no matter how old you are drugs can affect you even if you are not the one using. They could have shown the parents being disappointed that the daughter is doing drugs but they showed the boy. This was a good example because it shows how hurtful it can be to hurt someone in your family that you never wanted to hurt.

SIGNIFICANCE: It is important to talk to kids of all ages about drugs and how to say no. More and more kids are being introduced to drugs without being properly informed of all the consequences.  It does not take professional help to save someone from drugs. Simply talking about how it can affect other people around them is a start. Families and relationships can be saved with just one talk.

Assertion: The amount of racism in the country is nowhere near what is used to be, but that doesn't mean it is completely over. The world needs to all come to a consensus that racism is something that cannot be tolerated and will not be tolerated.

Example: The music video has a heavy focus on its lyrics to get its point across. "Yo', whatever happened to the values of humanity, Whatever happened to the fairness in equality, Instead of spreading love we're spreading animosity, Lack of understanding, leading us away from unity".

Explanation: These set of lyrics here basically sum up the entirety of the song and the message that is trying to be unveiled. This is saying what happened to being fair and equal to everyone, instead people are continuing to  be prejudice and hateful against races other than theirs.

Significance: This is very significant because this is a major problem and has always been one for our country. It is easy to fix if people just learn to respect others and treat them the way they want to be treated.

Assertion: Meth is a horrendous drug that people need to stay far away from. People should never try Meth, not even "just once." Some people try the drug with the intention of just trying it once, but they easily because extremely addicted to Meth.

eXample: The ad shows two young individual who are "only going to try Meth once, I'm not going to be like that guy." The first individual is a young male who repeats that phrase as he is become even more addicted to Meth. The second individual is a young female who says the phrase while buying Meth and looking at the first individual.

Explanation: Each individual said that they are going to try Meth "just once," yet the first individual becomes addicted to Meth who uses Meth frequently. Meth is an extremely addictive drug that is easy for an individual to become addicted to, which is part of the reason why no one should ever try the drug.The second individual is only seen buying the drug, but it is insinuated that she is in grave danger of becoming and addict.

Significance: Seeing how easy it can be to become addicted to Meth and further shows that Meth is an excruciatingly dangerous and addictive drug that destroy's lives.
