Why Does Your Weight Fluctuate And What To Do About It
Whether you’re trying to lose or gain weight, it can be frustrating to see the number change every time you step on the scale.
Is your nutrition off, or you’re simply not working hard enough? 🤷
It’s time you understand everything about weight fluctuation and what to do about it.

So I started tracking my weight. I’m aware that I fluctuate drastically, and I noticed in December that I’d suddenly dropped thirty pounds for no discernible reason. This is pretty normal for me, just because it’s me but also because of my PCOS.
But I don’t know… this time I haven’t shot back up yet. I usually do gain that weight back within a month or so. That’s how I normally fluctuate. But I haven’t yet.
And I figured I probably should keep track of this kind of thing, just to have that health information.
I haven’t changed my eating habits at all. I’m not on any medications because I don’t have any health insurance, and I haven’t seen a doctor (other than for Covid testing) in about two years, I think. Yet, somehow my weight is dropping. I’m only mildly concerned it might be a health signal from my body, since this is an unusual fluctuation. I haven’t suddenly become more active either.
So I don’t know what’s going on. But I’m tracking it just in case 🤷🏻♀️
For reference, last I noticed in December, I was verging on 315lbs. so that’s about 40lbs. that just ghosted me. I don’t miss it for sure, just curious where it went and why.
Remind yourself of this 💜

I still don’t get it! I’ve been working my ass off in the gym, drinking at leas 80 oz of water a day, and eating a healthy vegetarian diet—which I don’t think I’m overeating in but I will be keeping track of calories today to make sure—and the scale has not budged at all since I started working out! It’s week one for me in the gym of mixing cardio and weight training. Has anyone else experienced this?
There’s one year and 15 or so lbs between these two pics. ~
In person I can feel that I’ve gained weight but in pictures I can’t see it as much??? Idk. I’m still within a healthy range for my age/size but I’m struggling with feeling a loss of control over my body. Staying positive about changes in my appearance is a struggle for me but I’m slowly overcoming it I think.
Side note: my hair being a mess is the only consistency in my appearance the past couple years lol😂
