Nobody knows what in the crap the Halloween Diamond is, except for the fact that she calls herself “The Secret Who Was Hidden” they are certain she’s not quite... like the other sentient magical items.

Her powers appear to be in the way of hard light construction of massive complexes, but only really in the form of object lessons about Halloween or equivalent celebrations, or at least relevant to the themes of such during the other times of the various-units-of-years she shows up.

She’s very intent on teaching those lessons. Like, weirdly internt, to an almost philosophical degree. She’s also a formidable caster of spells through these constructs, but it doesn’t appear to be inherent so much as learned. She also has various “avatars” that she uses most often in these constructs, often with feline or pumpkin-like aspects; using what appears to be a strange besom to both fly and do strange workings with, though she keeps her “true” form close to her heart.

She seems to be morally on-the-level in a sort of weird hybrid of Lawful Good in her interest in tradition and Chaotic Good with her an interest in breaking bullshit taboos and caring for the outcasts, though she does demand harsh lessons for those who break the rules of her favored holiday.

But. most other magic items treat her with wariness at best, flat-out distain at worst. Because, again, she’s not at all like magic items, and may not even technically be inherently “magic” to begin with...
