     Honestly, she knew it was only a matter of time before the truth of Mercer’s betrayal came to light, but... knowing that Bezi had been there, with Brynjolf && Karliah with him -- it hurt. It hurt more than a dagger to the heart ever could.

     She spares a glance at him as he approaches; it had been quite some time since she had been in the Cistern last. Others looked upon her with pity, others with disdain. She couldn’t care less what they thought of her at this point.

     “If you’ve come to shower me in pity,” she begins, && she sounds completely defeated, “save your breath. It’s not worth the trouble.”

     “--- I understand that you’re worried for Mercer,” the statement seems to just come out of the blue from the mage, who doesn’t avert her attention from the alchemy lab. “But he’s capable of taking care of himself, Bezi. He cares about the Guild more than he actually lets on, you know. Everything he does is for our sake; this is no different.”

tfw ur flirt ask is too long so u have to just submit it as a text post He’d brought popsicles for them, from another time. It was an especially hot day; you could start sweating just sitting on your ass in the shade, and Bezi didn’t do well with the heat, so disappearing to another time and coming back with a weird frozen treat was how he dealt with it.        Now, he was sucking on his frozen purple  goody while scrutinizing a book he held in one hand. The text was nothing like English, but he seemed to be getting through it pretty quickly. He glanced up towards Josh, caught his eye, and winked as he pulled the popsicle out of his mouth so he could lick the length of it.

          Josh had grown to look forward to Bezi returning with treats from places and times he couldn’t begin to imagine. Cold treats were especially his favorite since ice alone to cool drinks was a rare treat in the west. Flavored ice–popsicles, he thought he heard Bezi call them–was an even greater treat.

          Too bad he couldn’t focus on enjoying it. 

           For Josh to say he hadn’t been staring at Bezi would have been a flat out lie. He had. Or, rather, he’d been staring at Bezi enjoying his dessert. His ears went warm when Bezi caught his eye and he shifted, uncomfortable, where he sat. He bit off the end of his popsicle to distract himself.

          “…What flavor did you say this’n was again?” he asked suddenly. Too many thoughts had tumbled through his head already. “Cherry?”

Bezi whimpered, pressing his forehead to Josh's as he held him. There was so much blood- he knew head wounds, especially on humans, tended to bleed like mad but... "Please," he whined, cupping Josh's face, rocking, "Wake up, mritni-"

          It wasn’t the first time Josh had been careless and gotten a crack over the head, and it certainly wouldn’t be his last. Trouble, it seemed, followed him around like a stray dog--and his skull was always getting the worst of it.

          Josh groaned lowly. His head was spinning and spots swirled and danced behind his eyelids. He tried to open his eyes, but everything was too bright and nausea made him squeeze them shut again.

          “’M okay...” He reached for Bezi’s hands and managed a smile. “’M okay. Just-- stop movin’ ‘til the world’s not spinnin’ so fast.”

          They were all lips and teeth, subdued sighs and roaming hands. There were rare few times when the pair wasn’t gentle with one another, but when they weren’t, it was a challenge. If one pushed, the other had to push harder. It was a constant argument for power and Josh couldn’t say he minded. 

          His lower back knocked against the hotel dresser. His shaving kit tipped and the mirror rattled, but neither broke the kiss. Josh tangled his fingers further into Bezi’s hair, slipping though silky strands, tugging him closer to his height. His teeth closed over the other’s lip----

          “Randall?” A knock came loudly at their door.

          ----Josh flinched. The tang of blood rushed into his mouth and he pulled away, eyes wide. “Ooh, Bez, I’m sorr--” The four-beat knock sounded again, louder this time. Josh winced. “Who is it?”

          “Deputy Hartnell.”

          “What is it?” He was calling to the door, but his focus was on Bezi. A thin line of blood dribbled from the bigger man’s lip.

          “Marshall wants ya.”

          “Now?” Josh turned his head to the door, annoyed. “Don’t the marshall sleep?”

          “He just said he wanted ya, Randall.”

         Josh sighed and cast Bezi an apologetic look. “I didn’t mean t’ do that,” he murmured, quiet enough that the deputy couldn’t hear. He touched Bezi’s chin and lip, concerned. “You okey?”

          “...Randall?”

Who’s the first to wake up in the morning: Hmm, probably Josh. Bezi seems like the type who’d like to stay in and cuddle / get extra ‘z’s.

Who’s the one to make breakfast: Josh.

Who’s the one to serve the other breakfast in bed: Considering Josh doesn’t have a bed… Bezi, since they would have to be at one of Bezi’s houses. (Hotels in the west probably wouldn’t be too keen on patrons having breakfast in their rooms.)

Who would suggest a quickie in the morning before work: Bezi. Josh isn’t usually opposed. 

Who suggests they both ditch work to lay around all day: Either since Josh is more or less self-employed. If he’s strapped for green, though, definitely Bezi.

Who chooses the movies: Bezi. Josh, being from a time period before films, hasn’t seen any. Bezi would probably let him pick, but Josh would be equally amazed at anything he showed him.

Who initiates kissing during the movies, thus distracting the other from the movie all together: Either.

Who orders lunch: Probably Josh.

Who steals food from the other’s plate without asking: Both. Josh more often, though.

Who curls up next to the other and falls asleep due to a full tummy: Bezi.

Who distracts the other from trying to work at home: Neither have jobs that would make distraction safe. So… neither.

Who asks to go get ice cream like a five year old: BEZI.

Who takes pictures of their partner eating ice cream: Bezi, but only because he has the technology and Josh doesn’t.

Who makes a sexual joke about the dripping ice cream on their partner’s face: Bezi? If he’s feeling flirtatious and wants to mess with Josh? Definitely not Josh, though. He’s rude and likes to tease, but he’s not crude.

Who cooks dinner: Josh most often, I would imagine.

Who cleans up the kitchen afterwards: Josh doesn’t have a kitchen so that implies they’re in one of Bezi’s homes… which means Bezi would probably do it.

Who stays up until 2 reading: Josh.

Who stares at their partner while their sleeping: Bezi. He doesn’t sleep as much or often as Josh.

Who kisses their partner while they sleep: Both. They’re disgustingly fluffy with each other.
