Ever since I found out what Dead Sea stood for in Dead Sea by The Lumineers, every sweet couple nicknaming simile metaphor thingy kinda starts to pale in comparison to it.
Like, no offense, I know it's just me.
Sunshine? Everyone calls them that.
Moon being overshadowed by sunshine? Been there done that.
Stars? There's a lot of them, not gonna lie.
And it's not bad going for all these cliché stuff because like I said, it's just me being—well, me. Don't let my opinions make you hate stuff that is precious to you.
I'm just really stuck on the thought that Brandy Schultz, Wesley's wife, told him that he was her Dead Sea and the little knowledge that one can't sink in the Dead Sea because of the amount of salt that is in the water that cause one to float instead of sink. So like, being someone's Dead Sea is being the reason they are staying afloat and that whenever they're with you they feel like they are being lifted up instead of being pushed down. It's just—I find that beautiful, okay?
