A swap au idea with a Prince-ish Branch! It was an idea I had that I got around to drawing a bit ago. His design isn't really finished, but I wanted to think about what Branch would be like if his brothers stayed and his grandma was alive. I feel like he'd be way more cocky and carry himself like the pretty boy he is LOL
He gets smacked upside the head by grandma a lot bc of his smart mouth 💀

Grey Poppy
Viva makes it out through the escape but Peppy doesn't (He literally fuckin dies LMFAO) and Viva thinks both her father and baby sister were crushed by a collapsed tunnel. Poppy however, did survive... She was just on the other side of the rubble.
Having no real way to find the rest of the group, she finds her way out into the forest and is raised by a family of critters who teach her how to defend and scavenge for herself. Only after around 20 years since the escape does Poppy come across troll village and silently observe creatures that look like her, aside from their vibrant colors and demeanor. She doesn't know what they're saying nor why they walk upright, but her silent, stealthy observing has unknowingly gained herself a scary reputation as the shadow creature with red eyes in the village...
Seeing your publication of a Welcome Home x TF2 AU surprised me!! just a few days ago I had made a drawing of Eddie with the helmet and glasses of the engi. And now my question if it's not a bother. The demo and the Snipper are missing. Who do you think they would be?

Ah yes I struggled to pick out who to make who. Thanks to voting however I had decided to make Sniper be Poppy and Pyro be Howdy. There are no more puppets for Demoman so I may make them be my oc 🤣

I think Branch would be quite enthralled by Poppy's adventurous spirit the more time he spends with her. There's not many trolls in the village who like to leap into danger head first like him.
Or it could just be the suspension bridge effect from all the tree swinging and climbing with Branch being carried like luggage the whole time. Who knows 🤷🏾♀️ Not like Poppy has picked up on it, she just wants cheesy crackers rn tbh.

I like to think that trolls change and adjust/evolve to changes in location. I'm not satisfied with any of it, but it would never have been posted unless someone asked like you did lol

Forced to become queen when she was 13 due to her father and sister being crushed by a collapsed tunnel when escaping the troll tree, Viva has a lot on her mind.
She was already feeling the pressure as her dad pushed her to learn all the skills she'd need, but it was even harder now that Peppy wasn't there to show her anything at all.
Luckily for her, Clay—her classmate and friend—had a kind family who was willing to help out as much as they could so she didn't have to do it alone. Ms. Rosiepuff and a lot of the other elder trolls had insight and experience with both King Peppy's leadership and the late Queen Pippi's before him.
They tried to help Viva adjust and secretly took over other tasks that were too much for a kid to handle, but Viva simply couldn't take the pressure. That, on top of having no time to grieve and heal, took a huge toll on her; which led to her forcing herself to remain positive.
Over the next few years, the overwhelming amount of stress and grief caused parts of her body to grey. She covered it up as much as possible, but it only worked so long before Clay, his brothers and grandmother noticed and stepped in to make her take a break.
Rosiepuff, John Dory and Bruce helped take care of most of her duties if they weren't already being done by a different troll (ex. Mags Gumdrop, Sky Toronto, and Moonbloom who were all friends with Peppy).
A few years later, when Viva was 18 and was meant to be officially crowned, she felt as though being queen was something she didn't know if she'd ever be ready for, saying that Rosiepuff and John Dory were doing most of her job just fine without her and thought that perhaps, she should formally step down, and give the position to Rosiepuff instead.
While hesitant to do so, Rosiepuff respected her wishes but noted that the offer is always open for her to take back when she was ready. Viva prefers to be called Miss Viva instead of 'Queen,' as it's what Branch has always called her since he was a baby and she finds it more comfortable.

Was fuckin around trying to picture where wfau!Poppy lives. It's a hollowed out tree on a tiny hill tucked back far into the woods. She did all the work herself!
It's nothin super detailed. i kinda just wanted to get it out of my brain haha
It's full of shiny trinkets, odd items and "borrowed" fabrics and tools. When Branch is finally able to keep up with Poppy and see where she lives, he's quickly able to put the pieces together about where everyone's stuff has been disappearing to... ^ ^;
